A visit to the Marshal Zhang Xueliang's Mansion is truly breathtaking! The architecture is exquisite and magnificent, every brick and tile steeped in history. Strolling through it feels like stepping back into the turbulent years of the Republic of China, genuinely experiencing the legendary life of General Zhang Xueliang. It's an absolutely unmissable cultural feast!
Five stars for historical accuracy, but less than ideal for service. Pros: Stunning architecture, detailed exhibits, and in-depth historical understanding. Cons: Some staff members were indifferent and impatient with visitors. They were likely just guides, and their attitude significantly diminished the experience for us, who had traveled a long way. We recommend improving service quality.

Our tour guide, Nana, provided very detailed explanations and was able to cater to the needs of all the tourists while maintaining a suitable pace. We visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace, the Marshal's Mansion, and the former residence of Zhao Yidi, a tour that lasted over two hours and gave us a profound understanding of Shenyang's history.
Today, my father and I visited the Shenyang Imperial Palace from Changchun, and it was a fantastic experience. As a representative of Qing Dynasty history and culture, the Shenyang Imperial Palace provided us with an excellent opportunity to deeply understand this period of history. First, the palace's architectural style is unique and well-preserved; every detail reflects the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the time. The main buildings, especially the Dazheng Hall and Chongzheng Hall, are breathtaking. During the visit, there were many private guides available at the entrance, which was very helpful. Due to the complex historical background of the palace, many details require professional explanation. We chose a guide whose explanations were vivid and engaging, not only helping us better understand the stories behind the exhibits but also adding to the enjoyment of the entire visit. Several exhibition areas within the Shenyang Imperial Palace are well worth seeing, especially those displaying Qing Dynasty court life and clothing, which made us feel as if we had traveled back to the imperial palace hundreds of years ago. Furthermore, the electric cart service within the palace was very convenient, making it easy for us to explore the grounds and saving us a lot of energy. Overall, the Shenyang Imperial Palace is a very worthwhile place to visit, especially suitable for those interested in Qing Dynasty history and culture. Visitors are advised to do some basic research on the historical background beforehand, which will make the visit much smoother. If time permits, you can also stroll around the streets near the Forbidden City to experience the local charm of Shenyang. Overall, the Shenyang Forbidden City is highly recommended for both its historical value and the visitor experience, making it a must-see tourist destination.

Overall, it was quite good. Although it was the off-season, the scenery was still very beautiful. There were many kinds of animals, and the facilities in each venue were very complete. The shows were also very good. I recommend everyone to visit. Tickets are even cheaper in the off-season, and it's actually very, very close to the bird park on foot.
The facilities are a bit old, probably because they've been there for a while, but the animals are super cute. The shows are also very good, so you should definitely go. Be sure to check the show times in advance!

I went on October 25th, catching the Halloween night activities the weekend before Halloween, and had a lot of fun. I originally planned to write about my experience as soon as I got back, but I got busy and procrastinated, and before I knew it, half a month had passed since Halloween. Because my trip to Shenyang was short, I only planned to go to Fantawild. I bought a 159 RMB night ticket and entered the park at 3 PM, getting in after about ten minutes. You can take a free photo at the entrance, and pick it up opposite the visitor center when you leave. Small photos are free, but larger ones cost money. My original plan was just to explore the park and bring the kids next time, so I started wandering around. However, the park is quite large, with many branching paths, so after strolling around for a while, I downloaded the Fantawild app, which proved very helpful. I went on several rides, including Light of Life (a giant 3D movie), Liaozhai (a live performance with special effects), Mine Train (a roller coaster), Soaring Over the Horizon (similar to Soaring Over the Horizon), Conch Bay (an animated movie suitable for children), Dinosaur Crisis (an indoor ride-on movie), and Amazing Circus (a haunted house). If I had more time, I'd like to ride Soaring Over the Horizon and Mine Train again, especially the Mine Train, which is perfect for me – a thrill ride! 😁 Most of the haunted houses required wristbands, which was annoying. I didn't have one, so I just bought one, similar to the one at the North Loop. The Space Shuttle stopped running around 8 PM, and I rushed but missed it because of the 8:30 PM fireworks show. I also skipped Fire Meteor, since I'm not a roller coaster enthusiast; I've already gritted my teeth and ridden Hollywood Dream, Flying Dinosaur, and Decepticon… I'll save the Giant Swing for next time 🤣. Due to the Halloween activities and it being Saturday, it was quite crowded; most of the rides had a 30-50 minute wait. I felt the Halloween activities were even more fun than the attractions themselves, with lots of interactive NPCs along the main street. The interactivity was better than Universal Studios Osaka and Hokuroku, offering not only scary NPCs but also funny, cute, and beautifully posed figures that could playfully interact with visitors. I spent from 3 pm to almost 9 pm there, and Fantawild's fun exceeded my expectations. It seems I'll definitely come back during Halloween or some other pre-holiday event.
The amusement park is truly a fun place! From thrilling roller coasters to relaxing carousels, it offers something for everyone. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always smiling. The park is spotless, with every corner well-maintained. The dining options are plentiful and reasonably priced. Overall, it's a great place for a family outing and highly recommended!

The service was excellent, and the explanations were very detailed, especially regarding the historical information about the First Pass Under Heaven. It was much more interesting than exploring the scenic area on your own, making it a very good learning and travel experience.
Shanhaiguan, the First Pass Under Heaven. When visiting a place like this with the whole family, it's essential to hire a guide to better understand the history; otherwise, you'll just be rushing through the sights!

I went there purely to see the pandas. The environment was nice, large, and quiet, with no strong smells. There was also an amusement park and a Ferris wheel near the entrance, and a large plaza with a flock of pigeons.
Compared to other popular zoos, Dalian Zoo offers a great option where you don't have to queue to see the pandas. The facilities and services are also relatively high-quality, and the zoo boasts a wide variety of animals, making it a great destination for animal lovers. However, please note that there are two separate shuttle bus routes for the predator enclosure and the free-range area, requiring you to pay twice for each ride. Each ticket costs 20 yuan.

The Araya scenic area is excellent and highly recommended. Located in the Gold Coast Resort, it boasts a long coastline and beautiful beaches. Summer is the best time to visit. Since it's a closed-door area, safety is guaranteed.
Hidden beneath the coastal dunes, the Aranya Dune Art Museum is a work of land art in its own right. Its interior resembles a mysterious cave, with winding galleries connected by several light wells. Natural light pours in, blending with the sea breeze and the sound of waves to become part of the exhibition. Experiencing contemporary art here and experiencing the ingenious fusion of man-made and natural elements is a unique sensory experience.

Dalian Sun Asia Ocean World is a place full of mystery and wonder. Here, you can fully appreciate the charm of various marine life and experience the magic of nature. Whether it's the mysterious deep sea or the colorful coral reefs, you'll find it unforgettable.
The place was incredibly crowded during the holiday, with long queues. I only managed to visit one small restaurant before I was scared away and went to have lunch instead. I visited once before, outside of a holiday, and it was much less crowded, resulting in a fantastic experience.

Pigeon Nest Park is definitely worth a visit. The sunset is vibrant and colorful. The park has many photo spots, showing a lot of thought and effort. It's not crowded during the autumn/winter off-season, so dress warmly. My mom had a great time, which was wonderful.
Dove Nest, a place where beautiful birds gather, is a must-see for me every time I visit Beidaihe! Dove Nest in October offers pleasant weather, fresh air, and picturesque scenery, bringing to mind Chairman Mao's poem "Lang Tao Sha. Beidaihe": A thousand years have passed since the time of Wei Wu. A poem remains on the east side of Jieshi. The bleak autumn wind blows again, transforming the world...

5 out of 10! The Liaoning Provincial Museum is Shenyang's hidden cultural treasure; a whole day isn't enough! As the first museum in New China, the Liaoning Provincial Museum truly embodies the spirit of "understated yet rich in content"! Free admission and directly accessible by Metro Line 2 (Exit D, just a 150-meter walk), it's incredibly convenient, requiring no navigation. The architecture is magnificent and grand, with a clear exhibition layout. The 22 exhibition halls cover 17 categories of collections, including prehistoric culture, Liao Dynasty artifacts, and calligraphy and painting masterpieces, with over 115,000 artifacts to explore—a paradise for history buffs! The must-see exhibits are truly breathtaking! The white jade pig-dragon from the Hongshan Culture is exquisite; its rounded shape is both ancient and mysterious, a marvel of 5,000-year-old carving techniques. Zhang Xu's "Four Poems in Ancient Style" features unrestrained cursive script; even the ink smudges are clearly visible under magnification, exuding the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty. There's also the Murong Xianbei's gold hairpin shaped like a flowering tree and the Yongzheng kiln-fired red-glazed pomegranate-shaped vase—both aesthetically pleasing and historically significant. For a deeper understanding, I recommend renting a VR audio guide for 50 yuan. It not only provides detailed explanations but also comes with a postcard, making it far more rewarding than wandering around aimlessly. Don't miss the volunteer guides either, as they are packed with information! The exhibition hall is vast, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Allow at least 3-4 hours for a leisurely visit. There's a restaurant on the first floor for a light meal, and the "Hairpin Flower" series of souvenirs in the cultural and creative area are very attractive—perfect for gifts or personal enjoyment. The only minor drawback is that some of the museum's most prized artifacts (such as the "Auspicious Cranes" painting) may be temporarily closed for conservation purposes; check the official website for announcements before you go. Whether you're introducing history to your children or experiencing cultural heritage with friends, the Liaoning Provincial Museum is worth visiting multiple times! Every artifact here tells a story spanning thousands of years. After a visit, you'll be deeply moved by the profoundness of Chinese culture. Don't miss it when you're in Shenyang!
The Liaoning Provincial Museum is a treasure trove, housing countless artifacts. From the jade pig-dragon of the Hongshan Culture to the tricolor arhats of the Liao Dynasty, from authentic calligraphy and paintings by Tang and Song Dynasty masters to the lustrous glazes of Ming and Qing Dynasty imperial porcelain, each piece holds the secrets of time. Strolling through the exhibition halls is like traveling through a thousand years: the warmth and smoothness of the Hongshan jade artifacts feel almost tangible, the colors of the Liao Dynasty murals remain vibrant, and the patterns on the bronzes are etched with the marks of civilization. Without traveling far, you can encounter the brilliance of Chinese culture within a small space; a whole day is not enough, and each visit reveals new discoveries.
