[View] Ulan Butong is a three-dimensional landscape blending grassland and forest, with elegant and beautiful Yin and soft in the south, masculine masculinity in the north, colorful feasts in the four seasons, humanistic and natural symphony of lakes and wetlands, and characteristics of biological diversity and multiple experiences.
The tourist highlights of Wulanbutong Grassland are rich and varied, covering natural landscapes, cultural history, special activities and food. The following is a detailed introduction: Natural Landscape - Vast grassland and diverse landforms: Wulanbutong Grassland is located in the Inner Mongolia Plateau, with an average altitude of 1,640 meters, and the grassland is vast. The eastern and central mountain ranges in the scenic area are continuous, and there are many sand dunes in the northwest. There are also wetlands, rivers, lakes, etc. For example, there are large areas of wetlands along the Wulan River and Jiangjun Paozi, with excellent vegetation and rich species.   - Colorful autumn colors of Wucai Mountain: From September to October every year, Wucai Mountain presents a colorful landscape due to its rich vegetation. The birch and poplar trees are yellow, the maple and oak trees turn red, the pines and cypresses are green all year round, and various shrubs are also of different colors, as if the palette has been overturned.  - European style scenery area: The rolling hills and grasslands are dotted with sparse or dense birch trees. The grassland and forest are perfectly integrated, and the scenery is charming, comparable to the European grassland scenery.   - Panlong Gorge: The Sarik River flows through the mountains and ridges in this valley. The steep banks are densely forested, and the valley bottom is covered with water and grass. The river is winding like a dragon for dozens of kilometers.   Humanities and History - Ancient battlefield site: This was the ancient battlefield where Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty personally fought against Galdan. There are ruins such as General Paozi, Twelve Camps, and Tong Guogang's Tomb. It is said that General Paozi was formed by the gushing out of groundwater after the Qing army's artillery scattered Galdan's camel formation.  - Film and TV shooting base: Wulanbutong is a famous film and TV location shooting site. More than 60 film and TV works such as "My Fair Princess", "Kangxi Dynasty" and "Emperor Wu of Han" were filmed here. There are many stone tablets of film and TV dramas in the scenic area, which has become a popular choice for tourists to check in. Special activities and food - Folk culture activities: Grassland Nadam is a traditional Mongolian festival, with horse racing, wrestling, archery and other competitive events. In addition, there are bonfire parties, Wulanbutong Night and other activities, where tourists can sing and dance with herdsmen and experience ethnic culture. - Grassland entertainment projects: You can experience horse riding, camel riding, sand motorcycles, sand sliding and other entertainment projects, galloping on the grassland, feeling the pleasure of the wind whistling in your ears, or take an off-road vehicle deep into the hinterland of the grassland to explore those little-known beauties. - Mongolian specialties: There are meat delicacies such as roasted lamb legs, beer-baked lamb, and air-dried beef, as well as special drinks such as kumis. Visitors can taste the authentic Mongolian flavor.

I originally planned to take the southern route and then the central route, but I mistakenly took the southern route instead, ending up on the longest route to Xianglu Peak. I probably walked several hundred meters more, but the views were still quite good. I saw all the major red tourism sites near the foot of the southern route. Since it was past 4 PM on the way down, most of the attractions below Senyuhu were closed, so I could only view them from the outside. I didn't even get to the central route; I'll have to come back another time. The vertical drop from the foot of the mountain to Xianglu Peak is estimated at 300 meters. With plenty of time to explore and eat, the climb was slow and only took half a day, making it a low-intensity activity. As for the scenery, the red leaves had mostly fallen when I went, so I only saw yellow leaves, but it was still quite beautiful. Jingcui Lake and Xiangshan Temple were decent, and the other attractions along the way were also quite nice with the yellow leaves. In short, if you come to Beijing, you should definitely visit Xiangshan.
Fragrant Hills Park is absolutely gorgeous in autumn, and the most beautiful sight here is undoubtedly the red leaves. The red leaves in Fragrant Hills Park are traditional and very unique. When you come here, you can enjoy the red leaves. There are several routes, and the best route is on the south side. If you go from the south, you can see many beautiful red leaves. After enjoying the red leaves, you can also visit other attractions in Fragrant Hills, such as the red Shuangqing Villa and other ancient sites.

- The scenery is absolutely stunning: the shimmering waves of Kunming Lake paired with the pavilions of Longevity Hill, especially the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, is breathtakingly beautiful at sunset when the golden light shines through the arches. Every shot is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese style. 📸 - A tip for exploring: It's recommended to enter from the East Palace Gate (closer to the main attractions). Don't try to see everything at once! Focus on the Long Corridor, the Tower of Buddhist Incense, and the Marble Boat area, otherwise your legs will "protest." - A small reminder: It gets really crowded on weekends. If you want to take some quiet photos, either go early or walk towards the West Causeway for a different kind of tranquil lake view. - Summary: The grandeur of a royal garden combined with the delicacy of a Jiangnan garden makes even a casual stroll and a gentle breeze a truly relaxing experience. It's a must-see "healing" attraction in Beijing!
Today, let's talk about the Long Corridor in the Summer Palace, another iconic building in Beijing. Located between the southern foot of Longevity Hill and the northern bank of Kunming Lake, it was first built in 1750 during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. Destroyed by the Anglo-French allied forces in 1860, it was rebuilt in 1888. The corridor stretches from the Inviting Moon Gate in the east to the Stone Pavilion in the west, passing through the Cloud-Dispelling Gate in the middle, symbolizing the four seasons. It is 728 meters long, with 273 bays and 548 pillars. The Long Corridor is renowned for its exquisite architecture, winding paths, and richly decorated paintings, making it the longest corridor in ancient Chinese architecture and gardens. It is also a vibrant art gallery, with over 14,000 paintings adorning every beam, creating a magnificent and colorful spectacle. The paintings primarily depict landscapes, flowers and birds, and scenes from the four great classical Chinese novels. The artists have condensed thousands of years of Chinese history and culture onto this long corridor. When you arrive at this place, you can see many people taking a break, looking at the water scenery of Kunming Lake, looking directly at the island in the middle of the lake and the Seventeen-Arch Bridge, and looking up at the Tower of Buddhist Incense in the distance. This is a collection of independent landscapes. It is a typical example of Chinese culture as an "art gallery". You can never get enough of it. The whole content could be written into a good book.

I only come here in autumn and during the Spring Festival. No matter the season, if you've read Shi Tiesheng's "Me and the Temple of Heaven," you'll find peace in its timeless and profound atmosphere; walking through it, all the noise in your heart will subside...
Shi Tiesheng Ditan Temple is a famous Beijing scenic spot. It is clean and has a good environment. It is generally well received. It is quite recommended and affordable. It is recommended for people from all over the world to visit, especially for travel enthusiasts and those with children.

1860: On October 6th, the tenth year of the Xianfeng Emperor's reign, Anglo-French allied forces occupied the Yuanmingyuan (Old Summer Palace), and on October 18th, they looted and burned it. 1900: In the twenty-sixth year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign, the Eight-Nation Alliance, composed of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, the United States, Italy, and Austria-Hungary, looted the Yuanmingyuan again during the bloodbath in Beijing. Forty Scenes of Yuanmingyuan: Upright and Bright, Diligent in Governance and Kind to the Virtuous, Peaceful and Tranquil in the Nine Provinces, Carved Moon and Opening Clouds, Natural Picture, Bitong Academy, Compassionate Clouds Protect All, Heaven and Earth Light, Apricot Blossom Spring Pavilion, Open and Honest, Embracing the Past and Present, Everlasting Spring Immortal Pavilion, Peace and Harmony in All Directions, Spring Colors of Wuling, High Mountains and Long Rivers, Moon and Cloud Dwelling, Great Compassion and Eternal Blessing, Huifang Academy, Sun and Sky Jade Pavilion, Tranquil and Serene, Orchid Fragrance Reflecting Water, Bright Water and Trees, Lianxi's Pleasure Place, Abundant Harvest Like Clouds, Fish Leaping and Kites Flying, Northern Distant Mountain Village, Western Peak's Beautiful Colors, Four Suitable Study, Fanghu Scenic Spot, Bathing Body and Nourishing Virtue, Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake, Penglai Island and Jade Terrace, Jiexiu Mountain House, Another World, Mirror and Zither, Vast and Clear Mirror, Open and Honest, Sitting on a Stone by the Stream, Lotus in the Winding Courtyard, Deep in the Cave.
Yuanmingyuan truly deserves its title of "Garden of Gardens." Although much of what remains today are ruins, a stroll through its grounds still allows one to feel its former grandeur and profound historical significance. Every stone pillar and foundation in the ruins area silently tells a story of the past, evoking deep emotions and reminding us to remember history. Besides the core Western-style buildings, the garden is vast, featuring numerous natural landscapes and reconstructed gardens. Pavilions, terraces, bridges, and flowing water create beautiful scenery, perfect for walks and photography. The Fuhai Lake area is spacious, ideal for boating, offering a unique and tranquil experience. Parts of Changchun Garden and Qichun Garden have been reconstructed in an antique style, with picturesque views at every turn, exuding the exquisite charm of Jiangnan gardens. The park is well-managed, with clear signage, good cleanliness, and friendly staff. I recommend allocating at least half a day, or at least 4-5 hours, and renting an electric cart or taking the park's sightseeing bus. Walking around will be very tiring, as the park covers over 350 hectares, equivalent to several Forbidden Cities in size. There are several excellent exhibition halls within the park, such as the Yuanmingyuan Exhibition Hall and the Western-style Buildings Ruins Exhibition. These halls provide detailed explanations of the rise and fall of the gardens through sand tables, artifacts, and text and images, and are well worth seeing, helping you better understand the former glory of these places. If you are bringing children, I suggest doing some research beforehand or renting audio guides for a better experience. The only drawback is that the historical information about some attractions could be more comprehensive. More digital reconstructions, AR interactions, or immersive experiences would make it even better. Also, there are relatively few restaurants and rest areas within the park, so I recommend bringing your own water and snacks. Overall, this is a very worthwhile and thought-provoking visit, combining the weight of history with the beauty of the gardens. Recommended for all visitors interested in history, culture, and natural landscapes. It is recommended to visit on a weekday or in the early morning to avoid peak hours and better appreciate the vicissitudes and tranquility.

If you're going during the National Day holiday, it won't be too crowded, so I recommend planning at least a two-day, one-night trip. Staying at hotels within the scenic area or affiliated with the area, some packages include entrance tickets and unlimited shuttle bus rides. This not only allows you to avoid peak crowds but also lets you fully experience the different charms of the water town at dawn and dusk, and leisurely enjoy various cultural activities.
This week is low seasons. Not much visitor but you can still visit especially best for great walls

Autumn was a great time to visit. Traffic was congested on the weekend, and roadworks were underway near the attractions. The parking lot was quite large, but the path from the parking lot to the entrance was made of cobblestones and wasn't very smooth. The area inside isn't actually very big; you can walk to each of the smaller attractions, especially the God of Wealth Temple and the Stone Fish Touching Area (there are long queues there).
The road to Tanzhe Temple is currently under construction, with some sections now only open in one direction. I recommend going early or avoiding weekends and holidays. The temple itself is also undergoing repairs, with some areas fenced off. The ginkgo trees haven't even turned yellow yet, but burning incense and worshipping Buddha isn't affected. I especially love standing between the two ginkgo trees; I feel so insignificant.

The scenery was absolutely beautiful, especially this time of year. The autumn leaves were ablaze with vibrant colors, creating a truly breathtaking spectacle. We had a fantastic time. The toboggan run on the mountain is an extra charge.
I've visited Hongluo Temple in Huairou countless times. Last time I came to make a wish, and this time I made a special trip to fulfill that wish. In late autumn, Hongluo Temple is also a rare and exceptional place to view the red leaves. Immersed in this landscape where the ancient temple and the red leaves intertwine, you can not only escape the hustle and bustle but also feel a sense of tranquility and beauty.

Visiting the Great Wall in November is great; it's 5-6 degrees Celsius cooler than in the city, which is nice. Buying tickets through Ctrip is also very convenient. I bought cable car tickets for my elderly family members, and they climbed the wall themselves. The only downside was the long wait for the cable car. After getting off the shuttle bus and separating, we younger folks climbed to the North Eighth Tower and had just exited the cable car station. But we still had a great time at the Great Wall. We went from the entrance to the North Eighth Tower, then back up to the South Fifth Tower before exiting. It was a wonderful experience.
Definitely not as spectacular or pretty as I thought it would be. But definitely one that needs to be done and ticked off. We got the cable car up and walked 8 down to 4 and then got the toboggan down. The cable car up was about 3 mins quite pricey ¥100 each and same price and time for the toboggan down. The wall walking wasn’t to bad a bit slippery and steep in places. Plenty of souvenirs to buy and food stalls. Do not go when it’s hot.

The experience was good; it wasn't too crowded, but there were a lot of foreigners, and the vendors all spoke fluent English. The scenery was beautiful. Climbing to the top requires some physical exertion. It felt very refreshing afterward.
Worth the visit. I have always wanted to visit 7 wonders and it's finally happening. It's dream come true. Recommend to book via Trip as it's offering cheaper prices and lot of options ticket.
