The water of Baotu Spring is crystal clear and gushes forth day and night. When the water is abundant, the spring water splashes like white snow, creating a spectacular sight. Surrounding it are numerous other springs, such as Jinxi Spring and Heihu Spring, forming a vast spring complex. The park is shaded by lush trees and abundant flowers and plants, offering different scenery in each season, which, together with the spring water, creates a picturesque scene.
Baotu Spring has a long history, first mentioned in Shang Dynasty documents. It was named by Zeng Gong in the Song Dynasty, and Emperor Qianlong, impressed by the delicious tea brewed with its water, bestowed upon it the title of "Number One Spring Under Heaven." The ancient architectural complex around the spring, such as Luoyuan Hall and Guanlan Pavilion, along with the inscriptions by scholars throughout history, all showcase its profound cultural heritage.
