Last month I visited Russia and I was in the grand imperial city of Saint Petersburg. At the heart of Saint Petersburg stood the Winter Palace, built in the 18th century and it served as the imperial residence of the Romanov dynasty for over 150 years. Inside is the Hermitage Museum, established by Catherine the Great and it contains art and collections from all over the world. It is one of the largest palaces in the world, and to see everything in the Hermitage properly would actually take you 11 years. It is highly recommended that you purchase a ticket online before going as the queues are normally significant especially on weekends.Inside the Hermitage the highlights of the palace complex are the Jordan Staircase, the Throne Room and the 1812 Gallery which are unmissable and you must take some nice photos there. As for the collections, there are really a lot so you got to prioritise which ones to explore as you likely only have a few hours there. For me I focused largely on the Russian element as well as the rare collections from Central Asia, Mongolia, the Caucasus and the Silk Road as those are not commonly found in Western art museums and more specific to Russia due to the historical links to the former empire.Regardless of how you choose to explore the Winter Palace, a trip here is a must once in your lifetime!#russia #russia_pics #saintpetersburg #winterpalace #hermitage #hermitagemuseum
It's not as shocking as I imagined, but as the number one attraction in St. Petersburg, I have to check it out. It's actually quite painful for people who don't know a little about Western art. I personally prefer the Ye Palace.

After visiting the Winter Palace, Summer Palace and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in St. Petersburg, the Kremlin seems nothing special. It is mainly a political office and has a certain special significance.
It is worth recommending here, but the self-funded project of 500 yuan can be tried, value for money, there are 3 churches inside to visit outside there are artillery kings and giant bells can also browse the Russian Parliament Building, Putin Office Building, National Military and Ring Bureau...

The actors performed with passion, the music was played by a live band, and the lights were gorgeous. The circus you and I watched at the Matryoshka Hotel was better. If you come to Moscow for a trip, it is worth seeing. It is very convenient to buy tickets on Ctrip. You can just scan the QR code when entering.
Very huge and exciting place. Located on Vernadskogo avenue close to the center of Moscow. There are many entertainments, animals, cafes.

Finally, I called it a day. How can you come to Moscow without visiting this place? The red building is still very interesting. There are also many patrolling soldiers. It feels different. It’s just too cold in winter and a bit deserted.
Red Square is located in the center of Moscow, Russia. It is a famous square in Russia. It is also the venue for major events in Moscow and one of the famous landmarks of Moscow. There are also St. Basil's Cathedral nearby.

The architecture of this cathedral is simply breathtaking, and whereby you can go inside to take photos, attend mass, or purchase tickets & and go up the spiral stairs for an overview of the city! Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth outside the church at the entrance. Summers are incredibly busy and crowded. This is a must-see as the inside of the church is very colourful! You can also purchase souvenirs inside the church.
Purchase your tickets at the booth counter towards the left of the entrance of the cathedral. You can choose to visit inside the cathedral or take the spiral staircase to go home up. The view from the top is breathtaking, and you get the entire view of the city, including the downtown Nevsky area. You'll also see a huge bell on the top, and that's instagram worthy! It's definitely a must do on your list.

It is OK for foreigners to watch the dance. This ballet "The Flames of Paris" is grand, colorful and sensory. It lasts about two and a half hours, with a break of more than 20 minutes in the middle. You are not allowed to take photos during the performance, except when the actors take their bows at the end. I bought a third-class seat on Ctrip, but it was actually a first-class seat. Of course, the ticket booking fee is very expensive.
Bolshoi Theatre: A Timeless SpectacleAttending a performance of "The Nutcracker" at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow was a truly magical experience. The grandeur of the historic venue combined with the exquisite ballet performance created an unforgettable evening. From the elegant choreography to the stunning set design, every aspect of the production was executed with perfection. The timeless tale of "The Nutcracker" came to life on stage, captivating the audience with its beauty and grace. A visit to the Bolshoi Theatre for this iconic performance is a must for anyone seeking enchantment and culture in Moscow.

Nevsky Avenue: St. Petersburg's Vibrant HeartbeatExploring Nevsky Avenue in St. Petersburg was a captivating journey through history and culture. The bustling thoroughfare, lined with stunning architecture and lively cafes, offered a glimpse into the city's rich heritage. From iconic landmarks like the Kazan Cathedral to charming boutiques and art galleries, there was something to discover around every corner. The energy of the avenue was infectious, drawing me in with its vibrant atmosphere and diverse array of sights and sounds. A stroll along Nevsky Avenue is a must-do experience for anyone visiting St. Petersburg, offering a true taste of the city's charm and vitality.
Nevsky Avenue is the most lively and prosperous street in St. Petersburg, gathering the city's largest bookstores, food stores, the largest department stores and the most expensive shopping malls. You can also enjoy various churches, celebrity residences and historical sites.

Sparrow Hills is a must-see attraction in Moscow. The mountain is not high and is friendly to the elderly. Moscow University and Moscow River cruises are nearby. You can take a cable car across the river to see the city view. The cable car costs 600 rubles, and the scenic area itself is free.
Traveling to Russia, this stop came to Moscow, came to this place, this place is called Sparrow Hills, Sparrow Hills without sparrows, just a name. This place was formerly called Lenin Hill, located in the southwest of Moscow, Russia, on the south bank of the Moscow River. It is also the highest point in Moscow, but it is only 220 meters, haha. There is a famous observation deck here, located 85 meters above the river level, where you can see part of the city view of Moscow, including the famous Luzhniki Stadium and Ukraine Hotel. Not far from the observation deck is the Luzhniki Railway Bridge, and this observation deck is also facing the gate of Moscow University. There is a ski jump on Sparrow Hills, built in 1953, and various mountain bike and racing competitions are often held on the mountain. In an open space on Sparrow Hill, the angle is very good. On one side, you can see the city, and on the other side is the designated place for taking graduation photos of Moscow University. Once graduation arrives, you may see groups of graduates gathering here to take graduation photos. The background of the photo is the teaching building of Moscow University, a very beautiful background. If the weather is good, the photos will be taken with a large piece of blue sky and white clouds, but the weather in Moscow is often dim, and there are only more than 70 days of sunshine a year. When we arrived, it was winter, that is, it was snowing. The section of road facing Moscow University was already buried in snow, and we couldn't see the road. Maybe there was grass there. Everyone stood on it. The snow was very thick, so we had to be careful. It would go down when we stepped on it. There were some benches next to it, and it felt like a small park.

Peter and Paul Fortress is a historic gem in Saint Petersburg, offering a fascinating glimpse into the city's past. Founded by Peter the Great in 1703, the fortress features impressive architecture and well-preserved structures, including the stunning Peter and Paul Cathedral with its iconic golden spire. Visitors can explore the fortress grounds, which include museums and exhibitions that delve into Russia's history and military heritage. The picturesque views of the Neva River from the fortress add to its charm, making it a perfect spot for photography. Overall, a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress is an enriching experience that combines history, culture, and stunning scenery in one remarkable location.
The Peter and Paul Fortress is located on the right bank of the Neva River in the center of St. Petersburg. It is a famous ancient building in St. Petersburg. The fortress was founded by Peter the Great on the Rabbit Island on May 16, 1703. It is the same age as St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg was born and developed under the protection of the fortress. The Peter and Paul Fortress was created as an outpost for Russia's Northern War with Sweden.

Alyosha, who received us, was a talented graduate of Moscow University. He was elegant, down-to-earth and hardworking, which left a good impression on us. In Russia, universal university is not an empty talk, unlike in our country, where it is said to people, no matter how poor you are, you cannot be poor in education. When you need to allocate money, you have no money, and when you need to buy a car, you have all the money you need. In Russia, the cultural atmosphere is very strong. Street painters kowtow and bump heads. There are museums and bookstores everywhere. Books that cannot be bought in China may be bought in Moscow. Despite the political changes, Lenin's tomb is still open. The heroic warriors stand motionless on both sides of the gate. Lenin lies quietly in the crystal coffin. He puts his hands on his abdomen and closes his eyes. He may still be thinking about who is better as his successor. I secretly told him that there is no need to worry about it. All arrangements are useless. All constants are determined by history. No one can change history. How can the successor be arranged? Humans, such advanced animals, cannot be dealt with by anyone.
The Moscow River is a left-bank tributary of the Oka River in western Russia. It is located in the Volga River Basin. It originates from the Smolensk-Moscow Upland, is 502 kilometers (312 miles) long, and has a drainage area of 17,600 square kilometers (6,800 square miles). It is an important water source for the city of Moscow.
