The mausoleums primarily include the tombs of Liang Gongwang Liu Mai, Liang Xiaowang Liu Wu, and the queen. They're worth a visit to learn about Han Dynasty culture, though the ticket checks are a bit excessive. The painted murals at Liang Gongwang's mausoleum were particularly impressive. They predate the Dunhuang murals by 630 years. To avoid taboos about their father's name, the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, and Vermillion Bird are depicted, while the Black Tortoise is replaced by a mythical creature with a duck's bill, a fish's tail, and a giant spike. 5.5 tons of copper coins were unearthed from the coin pit. The mausoleum of Liang Xiaowang's queen is the largest cliff tomb discovered in China. Its grand scale boasts four key attractions: the earliest stone toilet in China; an ice cellar, equivalent to a refrigerator; a view of the narrow passageway; and an underground passage connecting it to Liang Xiaowang's mausoleum, known as the Acacia Path, which is unfortunately unfinished. The mausoleum of Liang Xiaowang is not as large as the queen's. Liang Xiaowang Liu Wu was the grandson of Liu Bang, the son of Emperor Wen of Han, Liu Heng, and the half-brother of Emperor Jing of Han, Liu Qi. His tomb was repeatedly looted. He was a man of great talent and ambition in his youth, but even his golden and jade burial suit was stolen after his death. It is truly a pity.
Mangyu Mountain is not towering and steep, but is famous for its deep historical heritage. This is the place where the ancestors of Han Gao Liu Bang were killed by snakes. The tombs of the King of Liang in the West Han Dynasty are also known as "underground palaces". The scale is large and the structure is exquisite. It is especially known as the golden jade clothes and the four gods cloud map murals. It is a miracle of archaeology in the Han Dynasty. The humanities and natural landscapes in the scenic area blend. Han culture has a strong atmosphere. The main peak overlooks the eastern plain of Yu, and the monument forest and ancient temples in the mountains add a few points of rhyme. Although we went on the May 1st holiday, there were not too many tourists in the scenic spot, and the experience was quiet. As a cultural landmark at the junction of Yulu, Sulu and Suzhou, Mangyu Mountain is especially suitable for historical lovers to visit, which is an open-air Han Dynasty cultural museum.

Stepping into the ancient city of Shangqiu feels like traveling back in time. Built in the sixth year of the Zhengde reign of the Ming Dynasty, this ancient city, round on the outside and square on the inside, resembles an ancient coin. Entering through the north gate, Gongchen Gate, I climbed the city wall and gazed down upon the city walls, where the streets resembled a chessboard and the architecture was quaint and simple. Entering the Hou Family Residence, I felt the joys and sorrows of Hou Fangyu and Li Xiangjun. The Confucian Temple is also unique, with its halls on the left and the school on the right. Exiting the South Gate, the rippling waters of South Lake create a striking contrast with the ancient city. Everything here exudes the weight and vicissitudes of history, enchanting and making one reluctant to leave.
Walking into the ancient city of Shangqiu, it feels like stepping into a museum that travels through time and space. The ancient city walls are mottled and vicissitudes, and the blue bricks and gray tiles tell the long years. Strolling along the streets of the ancient city, there are many buildings in the style of Ming and Qing Dynasties on both sides. The quaint shops sell various special snacks, such as oil tea and steamed buns. The rich fragrance is mouth-watering. Walking through the bustling streets, we came to the center of the ancient city-Yingtian Academy. This was once one of the four major academies in the Northern Song Dynasty. The simple buildings and quiet courtyards make people feel the profound cultural heritage. Ancient books and cultural relics are displayed in the academy, as if you can hear the ancient students reading aloud. Climbing up the ancient city wall and looking far away, the whole picture of the ancient city is in full view. Surrounded by the moat, the ancient buildings in the city are scattered, and the modern city outside the city complements the ancient city. The ancient city of Shangqiu is not only a witness to history, but also an intoxicating cultural sanctuary. Here, I seemed to touch the pulse of history and feel the inheritance of culture. This trip brought me a lot and made me full of respect and love for this city.
