Mayu Island, located in Shantou, hides the secret of Guangdong East. The blue sea and blue sky are intertwined with the fishing village style. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the city to the Bay Bridge. General drivers will ask for an additional fee when entering the island, 10-15 yuan. Mayu Island must visit Mazu Temple to pray for blessings, stroll on the seaside plank road to watch the tide, pick up shells on the reef beach, taste the fresh sea fish porridge and wontons. You can swim in the sea in summer, ride around the island in spring and autumn, and enjoy the colorful graffiti village.
Mayu Island is very small: the area is about 0.2 square kilometers, the length is 0.65 kilometers, the width is 0.64 kilometers, and the coastline is 2.3 kilometers long.
You can visit the island + beach + coastal corridor + take photos in 2 hours.
The number of steps is no more than 3,000!

The place is quite large.
First, here's the entrance fee.
After entering, each attraction is charged separately, which is different from the local Blue Mercury.
Otherwise, it's a great place for strolling, sightseeing, a light picnic, and, if the weather is nice, a good place to soak up the sun. There are giraffes and other animals, and the viewing is decent. If you don't think of it as a zoo, it's passable.
It's suitable for families, not for solo travelers.
Also, it's only suitable for sunny days.
There's a train, but I didn't get to ride it on the day I went, so I used a mobility scooter.
Each scene is perfect for taking photos and making your own films. Many attractions are discounted during the summer, and prices are reasonable.
Overall, I recommend a visit, but I wouldn't recommend making a special trip if you're not nearby!

I recommend going together to make queuing easier, hahahaha.
Otherwise, the lines for the adult attractions start at 20 minutes!!
Children aged 3-6 should play in the children's area on the left.

The shower areas are clearly divided.

The "Zhonghai (formerly CITIC) Resort" on the south bank of the Slow City is the closest seaside resort to the central city. It has a long sandy beach (it was not closed when I went there recently), some beautiful decorations where you can check in and take photos..., and there is a resort hotel and a water park next to it...

By chance, I found a seaside temple, which stood quietly in this place where prosperity and tranquility intertwined. The eaves were outlined under the lights, adding a solemn and sacred atmosphere to this seaside night scene. Shantou's Guanhai Corridor is also called the Seaside Corridor. It is located on the bay side of the central area of Shantou. It is a strip park with a width of 17 meters and a length of 2,000 meters.
In the evening, stroll along the Guanhai Corridor. Because it is an open park, the surrounding environment and greenery are great.
