My second visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain didn't disappoint. The snow-capped mountains in the distance were still magnificent, but the lines were much longer this time. The waits for tickets and the cable car were quite long, and I spent a lot of time waiting. Overall, the view was worth it. If the scenic area could optimize visitor flow and reduce waiting times, the experience would be much smoother.
A great value ticket, including two cable car rides and a buffet. The scenery on the snow-capped mountains is so beautiful that you won't want to leave! However, be sure to plan your time between the two cable car rides.

The scenery here is absolutely breathtaking 🤩🌍—massive mountains, roaring river, and views that make you feel tiny in the best way possible. If you read up a bit on the gorge’s cultural + geological history before visiting, it adds so much depth to the experience 📖✨.👍 The shuttle bus service we took was super convenient 🚌💨—no stress, just sit back and enjoy the ride.😅 On the flip side… it gets really crowded with busloads of tourists 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑 (we went around 10am–12pm). There aren’t any benches to just sit and soak in the views 🪑🚫 except the lounge area at the very top, which is a bit of a shame because you’ll want to linger. Also, no halal food options on-site 🍖🚫, so if that’s important for you, bring your own snacks like we did 🍎🥨.Overall: Stunning views, worth a visit for the natural wonder 🌊🏔️, just go prepared and maybe hit it earlier or later to avoid the biggest crowds. ⏰🙌
Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of China's deepest and most precipitous canyons, is renowned for its majestic natural scenery and world-class hiking routes. Formed by the Jinsha River's dramatic drop between the Haba and Jade Dragon Snow Mountains, the gorge is truly breathtaking, with its thunderous waves and roaring ripples across the valley.

The scenery is really beautiful, but there are too many people queuing for the cable car during the peak tourist season. The one-way trip takes about 10 minutes. You can also see the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake from a high point.
The environment is good, the air is fresh, and it is a holy place for oxygen absorption. However, the waiting time for the Gantong Cableway is too long. The queue is nearly 3 hours, and the cable car is only a few minutes. The Gantong Line, the Zhenlong Chess Game and the viewing platform are very average and not up to expectations. The Jade Belt Road is very quiet and at an altitude of more than 2,600 meters, there is no discomfort and children can also walk

The place is huge with many temples along with the three pagodas. I recommend booking the sightseeing bus to travel up the hill. You can choose to return with the sightseeing bus or walk downhill. It’s very clean and well maintained. Just amazing how well preserved everything is and in such good condition after so many years. The place is very tourist friendly and has introductions in English. We visited during the off-peak season and had some of the temples all to ourselves - got the chance to really soak in the history and scenery. Also a great photo opportunity! There was slight rain shower however as Maldivians, we are used to it and did not bother us or ruin our visit at all. We were expecting and prepared with umbrellas! It was beautiful and definitely worthwhile.

The scenery of Wild Duck Lake in the East District Library is nice, but there is not much scenery in the West District. The ancient town is more commercialized, and the shops selling bracelets and silver are quite uncomfortable. It is much better than the Dali and Lijiang Ancient Towns and is worth a visit.
My friend said that this ancient town is very beautiful, and I think it is beautiful too, but I think the only drawback is that it lacks fun. Overall, it is not so commercial, but it is still worth visiting. The visiting time is about 4 hours.

Tengchong Rehai Scenic Area is a hot spring destination brimming with magic and charm. Dotted with numerous gas springs and hot springs, the area is enveloped in mist, creating a sense of wonderland. The Rehai Big Boiling Pot is the star attraction, boasting a water temperature of approximately 96°C. While immersion is prohibited, the boiled eggs sold poolside are a unique delicacy that will captivate you. Along the circular trail, you'll encounter a variety of springs, including the Pregnancy Well, Spectacle Spring, and Pearl Spring, each with its own unique name and story. Tengchong Rehai Scenic Area also offers two hot spring bathing areas: Jade Valley and Beauty Pool. The Valley boasts over 20 unique hot spring pools, while the Beauty Pool is a natural spa paradise, offering both physical and mental relaxation. After exploring the area, enjoy the local cuisine at one of the scenic area's restaurants or stay overnight at a hotel to fully experience the charm of this magical hot spring destination.
As mainland China's only area where volcanoes and geothermal energy coexist, Tengchong is renowned for its 99 majestic volcanoes and 88 gushing hot springs. Take a hot air balloon ride overlooking the "Big Dipper" chain of volcanoes in the Volcanic Geological Park, or soak in the cool waters of Dongshan Hot Springs while gazing at the stars – these truly immersive summer escapes offer a romantic escape. In the 600-year-old Heshun Ancient Town, bluestone pavement connects Ming and Qing dynasty ancestral halls with a village library, where stories of horse caravans and overseas Chinese communities flow amidst the hustle and bustle of life. The emerald meadows of the Beihai Wetlands create floating islands resembling "water grasslands," while the Western Yunnan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall commemorates the nation's backbone through its epic epic. Described by Xu Xiake as "the first city on the extreme frontier," this place weaves a harmonious symphony of nature and humanity amidst the surging volcanic hot springs and the warm morning mist of the ancient town.

The Lijiang Qianguqing Scenic Area also offers unique experiences and hidden gems. In Dawa Village, visitors can experience earthenware pottery making, tie-dyeing, lacquer fans, and copperplate engraving. These intangible cultural heritage projects are incredibly popular, and after enjoying a wonderful performance and then relaxing in Dawa Village, they can also experience some of Lijiang's Yunnan intangible cultural heritage. It's truly a perfect experience.
World class performances with beautiful backdrops and lightings. Highly recommended for anyone that is visiting Lijiang.

I had hoped for a molten golden sunset by the sea, but instead, I encountered a lingering rainy day, which unexpectedly brought a unique tenderness. Lead-gray clouds hung low above the horizon, and the wind, wrapped in sea mist, blew against my face, bringing a salty, damp coolness that was far more soothing than the sweltering heat of a sunny day. The beach had lost its usual bustle, a few scattered footprints quickly smoothed by the rising tide. The fishing boats in the distance were blurred silhouettes in the mist, like a smudged ink painting. I found a small seaside shop, sat down, ordered a cup of hot ginger tea, and watched the rain slant into the sea, splashing tiny drops of water. Occasionally, a seagull flew past, close to the crest of the waves, its cries softened by the wind. Without the glare of the sun, even time seemed to slow down. No need to rush to tourist attractions or snap photos, just quietly listening to the crashing waves and rain was a more soothing experience than the bustle of a sunny day. A rainy evening by the sea lacked the expected breathtaking spectacle, but it brought an unexpected sense of relaxation. If you also want to avoid the crowds and find some quiet time, such a moment may be more worthwhile than a clear sky.
🌊 "Proven myself | Driving around Erhai Lake is the ultimate way to experience Dali's romantic charm!" If Dali's "romance" were a poem, then driving around Erhai Lake is the most free and unrestrained way to recite it! Renting a convertible here is very convenient and affordable. 💨 🚗 Step on the accelerator and enter a fairyland. ► Recommended: The Haidong Route! The road winds along the lake, and the car windows feel like a giant theater—Cangshan Mountain on the left, Erhai Lake on the right. Every turn is a "wow" moment! ► Don't miss the idyllic scenery of Haixi. Drive through rice paddies and villages, dotted with Bai ethnic minority dwellings. It's like stepping into a live version of a pastoral poem. 🌾 ► Pull over whenever you see a charming spot: take photos of the mirrored sky on the lakeside boardwalk, or wait for the sunset by the wetlands. Feel free to indulge in the feeling of freedom! 🌿 Ecological Corridor: Green healing on wheels. Don't underestimate the driving experience; the ecological experience is uncompromising! Cycle along the Ecological Corridor at night. The S-bend is bustling with activity, with many people singing and dancing. ✅ Enjoy breathtaking lake views throughout the ride. The waters of Erhai Lake are as clear as sapphires, and waterfowl dance in the wetlands along the shore. ✅ Pass by popular photo spots like the S-bend, the Corridor Bridge, and the Couple Tree, and hop off the bike to pose whenever you want. 📸 ✅ Play "Going to Dali" in the car while feeling the lake breeze—who knows this ambiance? 💡 Exclusive Tips ▪️ Vehicle Recommendation: Convertibles or cars with sunroofs are more photogenic! ▪️ Timeline: We recommend a morning sunrise or an afternoon departure, circling the lake counterclockwise to catch the golden sunset at Erhai Lake. 🌅 ▪️ Stops: Shuanglang Observation Deck, Wase Waterway, and Xizhou Ancient Town—each one is worth a stop! 🌟 Why is driving the best? Freedom! Spontaneity! No sun exposure! Perfect for lazy travelers, families, and couples—no need to ride in the scorching sun or hike, just hum along in the air-conditioned car and take in the breathtaking scenery. 📌 Follow me to unlock more magical routes! #DaliSelf-DrivingGuide #ErhaiStunningHighway #Wind,Flowers,Snow,MoonFreeTravel #TravelTips

It's pretty good, but it's very small. There's a small circle around the tower, and you can walk around it slowly for half an hour before you can get out. It's good for taking photos and checking in. There are many costumes for rent for taking photos.
Absolutely stunning! The gold-leaf-covered pagoda dazzles in the sunlight, the solemn shrines, the melodious chimes of the bells create a truly reverent atmosphere. This is a must-see treasure of faith and architectural art.

Dali Ancient City is located in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, bordering Erhai Lake and nestled against Cangshan Mountain. Construction began in 1382, the 15th year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty. Its structure, a checkerboard-like grid of three streets and 18 alleys, features north-south city gates facing each other and east-west gates staggered. Three main streets run north-south, six alleys run east-west, and a network of secluded streets and lanes crisscrosses from west to east.
It is very suitable for being lazy, leisurely and slow-paced, with a petty-bourgeois style 😁. It is very comfortable to relax for half a month after work. In the afternoon, you can lie down in the courtyard, drink tea, and daydream. In the evening, you can buy a cup of special drinks, grab a special snack, and visit special shops. There are also many bars in the evening, listening to music and making tea around the fire. It is really comfortable.
