Shanxi Guild Hall's [Claypot Fish Head] uses oyster sauce as seasoning. The fish head is fresh and tasty. A dish that parents should like [Curry Crab] The crab is first coated with flour and fried. It has a strong curry flavor. There are also potatoes and toast.
Because I wanted to eat the original lamb chops, I went to Shanxi Guild Hall. Their grilled lamb chops were only served with cumin powder, but it was a bit not enough to just eat lamb chops. I happened to see the fried pork, which was very delicious when eaten with lamb chops. I really liked it~

The chef debones the carp, carves patterns on the fish, seasons it, marinates it, coats it with egg yolk paste, deep fries it in a hot oil pan, and pours hot sweet and sour sauce over it. The dish is shaped like a mouse, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and tastes sweet and sour.
The food at Lao Taiyuan Restaurant is good and the service is excellent. The waiters introduced the ingredients of each dish in detail, the origin of the dish, demonstrated to us how to eat it, and how to make it. The most exciting thing was that two singers came to sing Shanxi songs to liven up the atmosphere, which was great!

The dishes are very special, authentic, and the service is good. I really recommend Rock Noodles. The decoration style is antique. The Liukou noodles are made up of many different small bowls of noodles, and there are also many kinds of stews on the side, which can be freely combined. I chose a set meal for two people. The dishes are large and I can't finish them even if I try hard. There are many local specialties. I will definitely come to taste them next time I have the chance.
When I heard the name Bingzhou Food Stall, I knew it mainly served Shanxi local specialties, and it should be a good hotel with good value for money. Sure enough, the price-performance ratio was good, and the taste was okay in my opinion. The deep-fried pork was probably the best I had on this trip. I could taste the vinegar aroma but not the vinegar taste. The Daixian boiled fish was crispy and soft, and the Shangdang donkey meat was not bad either. There were not many mutton offal and it had a strong smell. The rabbit head was not as good as the one in Shuangliu, but overall it was not bad and you could go and try it.

It can be said to be the most historic hotel in Taiyuan. It is right next to Wenying Park. The night view is really magnificent. A casual shot will give you the feeling of a blockbuster. The hotel's buffet is only 13X yuan per person, which is very reasonable. It is recommended for tourists visiting Taiyuan to experience it.
We had lunch at Shanxi Restaurant. We called to make a reservation and then went downstairs to eat in another building in the compound. We were led to a room after entering the gate. There were about six or seven small tables inside. We ordered steamed meat (more noodles, tasted okay, but too salty), Wutaishan tofu meatballs (soup, the meatballs were probably fried tofu, they were very big, tasted okay), spinach sliced noodles (normal), and kuoluoluo (too much for two people).

I came to Linxiangzhai from Tianjin to Taiyuan, Shanxi Province for the 5-point century-old restaurant. I went there for the sweet and sour crispy Yellow River carp, but I was a little disappointed. It was a big yellow croaker and the skin was not crispy but flat. I guess the chef was too busy. The frying temperature was not good. The knife-cut noodles, stir-fried noodles and double cold dishes tasted OK. The waiter's attitude was super good. The environment and hygiene were OK.
The store is very high-end, even the elevator is inlaid with solid wood, which fully demonstrates its strength. The dishes are also good, especially the classic sweet and sour Yellow River carp, which has no fishy smell and is relatively tender and smooth. This dish is large and expensive, costing 138 yuan per piece. The fried meat is also good, not just garlic sprouts and black fungus, but with bamboo shoots. Although it costs 38 yuan per serving, it tastes really good. The overall amount of food is average, and a pot of barley tea costs 68 yuan, which would be more affordable.
