The most worthwhile scenic spot in Taiyuan. I go there at least 6 times a year. It has rich cultural connotations and a lot of history to learn. It covers a wide range of history, including the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, as well as modern history.
The heritage left by our ancestors is amazing and the scenery is great. There are different levels of paid explanations, and no free explanations. If you have enough time, it should be very pleasant to stroll around the courtyard. The natural scenery and ancient buildings complement each other. Jin Temple is the most worth-seeing ancient building in Shanxi!

The paintings are worth seeing, but I personally feel that the exhibition layout is flawed. The lighting is too dim. It is difficult to read the introduction of the works in some places. My eyes are tired and it affects the experience. The exhibition should be brighter to look better.
I accidentally came across the Dali and Picasso exhibition in the Provincial Museum. Although there were not many exhibits, it was quite good. The exhibition was arranged with great care. The experience of watching the exhibition was quite good and there were not many people. I recommend it.

Treasure Scenic Area, super value experience. I originally thought it was just a big Buddha to see, but the scenery changed as I walked up the mountain. It was beautiful and very suitable for taking children for an outing or autumn outing. There are the Zhiqing Kiln, Guanyin Temple... The most amazing thing is the Iron Buddha and Twin Pagodas of the Iron Buddha Temple, which have remained the same after thousands of years of wind and rain.
The scenery at the Mengshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area is breathtaking, with the valley path and mist constantly spraying, creating a fairyland-like scene. The Buddha, nestled against the mountainside, exudes a majestic presence. At 5 p.m., the monks beat the evening drum, a piercing sound. The parking lot and gentle slope make the journey leisurely and comfortable, eliminating the stair-climbing grind.

The ticket price is not cheap, but it is quite interesting. There are tours down and up the well, and the explanation fee is purchased separately. The staff is very good. Because I needed to go down the well in advance because I was in a hurry, the staff helped to arrange it, which was very heartwarming.

It is very worth visiting. The Shanxi Merchants Museum is located in the center of the old city of Taiyuan, opposite the Drum Tower Square and Liuxiang Commercial Street. It used to be the Governor's Mansion and the Governor's Office in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Both were the military and political core of Shanxi. The buildings inside are extraordinary, the buildings and gardens are uniquely arranged, the scenery is picturesque, and it is full of historical sense. There are rich exhibition halls, including Shanxi merchant culture, political history, and the Anti-Japanese War Exhibition Hall, etc. It is a good place for comprehensive cultural, historical, and recreational landscape exhibitions.
