Although it was crowded during the May Day holiday, it was still worth a visit! You can queue up to go down to the Dragon Cave, and the scenery below is also unique. It is worth a visit, but be sure to go early! ! !
The Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River is definitely worth seeing to experience the majestic power of the Mother River. Both the Shanxi and Shaanxi sides said they could feel the roar of the Yellow River more clearly on their side. So, I suggest building a bridge so we can visit both sides and compare the two.

It's very beautiful, especially seeing the Panlong Pillar, I was shocked. There are many ancient trees in the Jin Temple, the oldest of which is 3,200 years old. It's amazing! There are national treasures everywhere. It's worth it. I want to go again in the future.
The most worthwhile scenic spot in Taiyuan. I go there at least 6 times a year. It has rich cultural connotations and a lot of history to learn. It covers a wide range of history, including the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Tang Dynasty and the Song Dynasty, as well as modern history.

Pingyao Ancient City is quite large. There are electric cars (10 yuan per trip) that go from the parking lot at Xiaoximen to the ancient city. There are many of these cars at the entrances of the city's tourist attractions. You need to buy a pass to visit the attractions in the ancient city.
Compared to all the famous ancient cities in China, Pingyao Ancient City can truly be described as a truly ancient city. It retains the features of an ancient city, with its escort agencies, banks, government offices, City God Temple, and Confucian Temple all well-preserved. The only drawback is the lack of signage leading into the ancient city. I wonder if the scenic area is deliberately trying to encourage electric taxi drivers to take advantage of short journeys, but they're taking detours to justify the distance and charge a ten-yuan fare per person. The scenic area also has plenty of clean restrooms, which I commend for their management.

"Stories of buildings hanging high, clusters of flowers, auspicious clouds swirling, colorful waves flowing, light and shadow trembling" - Before Xiaoxitian, there was no hall full of hanging sculptures, and after Xiaoxitian, there is no hall full of hanging sculptures.
Even on a rainy Wednesday morning, off-season, there were still a lot of tourists! The attraction isn't large, but the main hall was packed, people pressed against each other, crowding in! The hanging sculptures are vibrantly colored, intricately layered, and dazzling, a visual feast!

I stayed in Linfen and the navigation was wrong. I came to Hukou Waterfall on the Shaanxi side and felt a little dizzy. The scenic area is good overall. The car was parked at the visitor center and the bus was taken to the waterfall. The Shaanxi side is basically parallel to the waterfall and slightly downward.
Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River is a Chinese wonder worth a once-in-a-lifetime visit. It's recommended to view it from either Shaanxi or Shanxi Province. From the Shaanxi side, traditional buildings are dotted with scattered red flags. Shaanxi offers magnificent views of Hukou, with its cascading rock formations along the shore. Stand by the river and marvel at the cascading, geometric structure of the waterfall. Ke Zhenliang leaped over Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River, watched by millions. A sculpture commemorates his impossible feat.

The round-trip sightseeing bus, entering and exiting from the north, costs 10 yuan. You'll need to get on the bus to reach the scenic area ticket office (though it's not necessary. I saw that the bus can be driven to the scenic area ticket office). If you're physically fit, you can hike the 2 kilometers, though the uphill slope is a bit tiring). The scenic area is famous, but there's not much to see. The mountain is foggy. The weather is unpredictable, and you can't predict which cloud will bring rain. Wear sneakers with non-slip soles if you're entering and exiting from the north. It takes about 2 hours. If you're walking the entire route, both north and south, it depends on your physical fitness.
I arrived at the Yanmen Pass that I had longed for. It has a long history and is magnificent. I felt the long history of Chinese culture. I climbed the Great Wall, walked from the North Gate to the South Gate, and then walked from the South Gate to the North Gate. The experience was simply too great.

The area is quite large. The first area is well-informed and worth a look. However, I wasn't very interested in the subsequent exhibitions. A tour guide would have been a good way to learn more.
The tour guide spoke very well and was very patient. I learned a lot about the history of Qiao Family Courtyard. She asked questions and took photos as we walked. There were also elderly people present. The explanation, which was supposed to last from one to one and a half hours, stretched to two hours without any impatience. I was very happy.

It's a large group of houses. I only went to this one among several large courtyards. There is a discount for tickets now, only 50 yuan, which is very cost-effective. The scenic area is quite sunny, and there are many people even in the off-season. It's quite tiring to walk around.
1. I watched a documentary beforehand to get a general idea, which was very helpful. 2. Because I knew this beforehand, I didn't hire a tour guide, but the explanations were everywhere, making it hard not to listen. 3. It's truly huge, and I was exhausted from walking around. It's called a compound, but it really is a castle. 4. There are buses running around Jiexiu City for 6 yuan each way, which is very convenient.

The paintings are worth seeing, but I personally feel that the exhibition layout is flawed. The lighting is too dim. It is difficult to read the introduction of the works in some places. My eyes are tired and it affects the experience. The exhibition should be brighter to look better.
I accidentally came across the Dali and Picasso exhibition in the Provincial Museum. Although there were not many exhibits, it was quite good. The exhibition was arranged with great care. The experience of watching the exhibition was quite good and there were not many people. I recommend it.

Taiyuan Botanical Garden: "It's absolutely stunning! Especially in the evening, when the three domed greenhouses light up, they look like giant pearls scattered along the lakeside, their reflections reflected in the water. It's so dreamy and futuristic. It's definitely a new landmark in Taiyuan, and any photo you take is a blockbuster." "The building itself is a work of art, and its international awards are well-deserved. The flowing lines during the day and the dazzling lights at night are truly worth the experience." It's amazing, hahahaha
The Taiyuan Botanical Garden boasts a high-end, avant-garde design and is definitely worth a visit! Especially if you go at 4:30 PM to see the 5 PM acrobatic show, then see the three balls and fireflies, and finally take the elevator—it's a perfect arrangement! Perfect for families!
