In autumn, the Kalajun Grassland boasts snow-capped mountains, grasslands, deep forests, and cattle and sheep grazing on the hillsides. We drove up the mountain this morning, and the scenery along the winding road caught our eye: the yellow grass, shrouded in a hint of white frost, was truly delightful. We hiked 8 kilometers from the Flower Terrace to the Falcon Valley, following a path once trodden by cattle and horses. Autumn is worth visiting.
This is a wonderful grassland, just like a computer desktop, with flowers everywhere. It is so beautiful that it cannot be described in words. In comparison, the Grand Canyon seems very ordinary.

We all came here to watch the Heavenly Horses Bathing in the River. There seemed to be about a hundred of them running majestically, but the distance they ran was quite short, only six times in total. They were so fast at grabbing sheep that the show was over just as we reached the front of the performance venue.

It's off-season now, so there aren't many people around. The horseback riding lasted a long time, two hours straight. My butt was sore from sitting, but it was such a joy.

The grasslands are vast, and the grass should be greener in May, June, and July, but it's a bit yellow in August. The cost of clothing for filming at the scenic spots is high, but the price/performance ratio is not high. Horseback riding is also available, but the cattle on the grasslands produce a lot of organic fertilizer, so be careful. I recommend Hansai for accommodation.
