The Yungang Grottoes are truly breathtaking! Each Buddha statue is incredibly lifelike, as if speaking to you from across millennia. The carvings within the grottoes are exquisitely crafted, with breathtaking detail. Wandering through them, you'll feel the weight of history and appreciate the wisdom and ingenuity of ancient artisans. Simple praise is insufficient; the beauty here is worth savoring for a lifetime. Highly recommended to anyone who loves history and art!
I marveled at the skill of the ancient artists; such stunning creations exemplify the grandeur of an ancient power. I requested a guide, but it was rather rushed. Perhaps it was the sheer volume of content or the rapid pace of instruction, but I felt rushed and my understanding fragmented. Three hours was simply not enough to fully appreciate the artistic beauty of the grottoes. The colorful paintings on the murals and the diverse forms of the Buddha statues all exemplify the artistry of the era.

It is worth a visit. Walking from Jinci Park all the way to the museum, the scenery is unique. Walking into Jinci gives you a shocking feeling that is beyond words. The wisdom of the ancients with thousands of years of culture is unobstructed.
As the crown jewel of Shanxi's cultural tourism, the Jin Temple Museum, with its 3,000-year history, world-class architecture, and immersive cultural experiences, has become a must-visit destination for domestic and international tourists seeking a deeper understanding of Chinese civilization. The Jin Temple boasts over 100 buildings from the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, forming a comprehensive collection of ancient architectural art. Among these, its "Three Treasures" (the Hall of the Holy Mother, the Fish Pond Flying Bridge, and the Hall of Offering) are truly architectural marvels. As "the pinnacle of architectural art, a symphony of nature and humanity, and a hub of cultural heritage," the Jin Temple Museum has become a hallmark of Shanxi's cultural tourism. Whether architecture enthusiasts, historians, families, or photography enthusiasts, everyone can find a unique cultural connection here.

Pingyao Ancient City is quite large. There are electric cars (10 yuan per trip) that go from the parking lot at Xiaoximen to the ancient city. There are many of these cars at the entrances of the city's tourist attractions. You need to buy a pass to visit the attractions in the ancient city.
Compared to all the famous ancient cities in China, Pingyao Ancient City can truly be described as a truly ancient city. It retains the features of an ancient city, with its escort agencies, banks, government offices, City God Temple, and Confucian Temple all well-preserved. The only drawback is the lack of signage leading into the ancient city. I wonder if the scenic area is deliberately trying to encourage electric taxi drivers to take advantage of short journeys, but they're taking detours to justify the distance and charge a ten-yuan fare per person. The scenic area also has plenty of clean restrooms, which I commend for their management.

If you're a fan of ancient architecture, you must visit the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda once. You might miss it if you don't see it again. Although you can see the upper part of the pagoda from outside the wall, you can't see it from all angles. The 50 yuan ticket is a bit expensive, but it's really not easy to repair the wooden pagoda, so I'll take it as a contribution.
The Yingmu Pagoda Scenic Area is truly captivating! Towering ancient trees and the towering shadows of the pagoda make every step feel like a journey through millennia. The scenic area is tranquil, the service attentive, and the staff warm and attentive. Climbing the pagoda and gazing out at the breathtaking views is a truly spiritual and refreshing experience. This place is not only a testament to history, but also a cultural heritage. Highly recommended to anyone who loves travel and history!

1. The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain. The entire temple clings to the cliffs of Hengshan Mountain, supported by only a single pillar. It's incredibly precarious, seemingly ready to collapse at any moment, a truly daunting sight. 2. The Hanging Temple at the foot of Hengshan Mountain is a breathtakingly ingenious structure. This massive temple seems to soar into the air, leaving you in awe of the ingenuity of the craftsmen thousands of years ago. 3. I wonder how the builders of the Hanging Temple managed to transport the stones and wood up the mountain. 4. The Hanging Temple of Hengshan Mountain, the Northern Peak, is truly a rare sight.

This is a truly worthwhile destination for those interested in and interested in Buddhist culture, and even for casual visitors, it offers a chance to deeply experience and learn about the vast and profound Buddhist culture of my country. The thousands of Buddha statues at Xiaoxitian Temple are incredibly lifelike and vivid, showcasing the exquisite craftsmanship and architectural artistry of our ancestors. Personally, I feel it's truly unique in the world. It's truly unparalleled and truly magnificent!
The temple is not big, it is on a small hill. You have to go early to park closer. We went there at around 9 o'clock and could only park in a parking lot farther outside and then walk in. You don't have to climb very high. The essence is in the main hall, which is really exquisite. In addition, the rain-dew pears in Xi County are delicious and especially sweet.

Huayan Temple is located in the ancient city of Datong. It is a very complete ancient building that is well preserved. Especially the underground palace inside the Huayan Temple Pagoda is also worth seeing. It contains more than 1,000 tons of copper and relics.
If you come to Datong for the first time, you must visit Huayan Temple. I want to see the kissing at Huayan Temple. I want to see all the historical sites at Huayan Temple. It is very knowledgeable and broadens your horizons. It is very good. I like Datou very much. I like Datong's weather and the people of Datong. The service here is super good.

Mount Wutai is so big that you don't have to worry about the route when you join a tour group. Those who travel independently can take the free shuttle bus in the scenic area and play from stop to stop. When you are tired, you can get on the bus, and when you are not tired, you can walk around. It is quite suitable, but there are too many people. September is the off-season and there are not many people, but there are still crowds of people. The reception level in the scenic area is limited, and there are queues in the toilets. The queuing phenomenon in the scenic area is serious, so some people will go there again and again. Below Dailuoding, there is a slow slope when you come down. If people want to rest, there is a very small step on the side with an iron frame next to it to sit on. However, there is no sign on the step and the bricks on the ground are gray, which is particularly difficult to distinguish. I sat there for less than 20 minutes and three or four people sprained their ankles, but I forgot to take pictures. I hope the scenic area will consider being more humane when designing the rest platform.
I bought my Mount Wutai ticket and the Wuye Bodhisattva Body-Expanding Talisman on Ctrip. On the bus to Mount Wutai, the driver told me my Ctrip ticket might not work. I was apprehensive. Could Ctrip be so unreliable? Then I figured I could just buy new tickets at the customer service center. I was immediately able to enter after swiping my ID at the entrance gate. What a relief! Ctrip is trustworthy!

It holds profound significance, so as a Chinese, you should definitely visit. Yanmen Pass, formerly known as Gouzhu Mountain, boasts towering peaks and rugged terrain. It's a crucial pass on the Great Wall, known as "China's First Pass." There's a saying that "of the nine fortresses under heaven, Yanmen is the foremost." Standing atop the Yanmen Pass tower, gazing out into the distance, you can admire the rolling hills, the winding Great Wall, the narrow pass, and the breathtaking scenery of the frontier. Walking along the ancient Great Wall, viewing the military defense relics and sites, countless histories and legends resonate in your mind, leaving you filled with emotion. For thousands of years, Yanmen Pass has witnessed countless battles and wars. From the early Xiongnu, Xianbei, and Turks to the later Khitan, Jurchen, and Mongols, northern ethnic groups all battled against the Han dynasties at Yanmen Pass. Yanmen Pass forged the valiant and loyal spirits of many frontier defenders, including King Mu of Zhou, Li Mu, Meng Tian, Liu Bang, Wei Qing, Huo Qubing, Li Guang, Emperor Yang of Sui, Xue Rengui, and the Yang Family Generals. During the reign of Emperor Yuan of Han, when Wang Zhaojun crossed the border through Yanmen Pass's natural barrier and married the Xiongnu, Yanmen Pass became a thoroughfare for friendly exchanges within and beyond the borders. Arriving at Yanmen Pass's natural barrier and standing at the very gate where Wang Zhaojun left the border, one is struck by the depth of history and the magnificent beauty of nature, creating a unique sense of wonder.
The majestic Yanmen Pass, nestled amidst the vast mountain range, is truly breathtaking. A full hike would take about five hours. Like many scenic spots, the parking lot is far away, forcing you to take a frustrating shuttle bus.

The Qiao Family Compound itself is well worth a visit. It's a magnificent residence, capturing the rise and fall of a large Shanxi merchant family. However, the entrance to the scenic area requires you to walk around a 2-kilometer-long street of shops before leaving, which is unpleasant and inhumane.
The guide's explanation was lively and interesting, with very standard pronunciation and a suitable speaking speed. The order in which he led us to visit was also very reasonable, which gave me a deeper understanding of Qiao Family Compound.
