Xuchang is a city rich in history and vibrant with modern life. It's a perfect blend of the two. A visit to this Central Plains city will make you exclaim: "It's worth it!"
The ancient city of Caowei is an ancient city scenic spot rebuilt on the basis of Xuchang, the capital of Caowei in the end of Han Dynasty. There are various shops for eating, drinking and playing, as well as attractions such as Cao Yuxiang Mansion and Spring and Autumn Building. There is also a fat Donglai commercial center nearby. In general, it is the core scenic spot in Xuchang City, and it can take about a day or two to play.

During a summer road trip with my parents and children, we passed through Xuchang and visited the Baling Bridge Scenic Area. We learned about the historical story of Guan Gong, who never forgot his former master, lifted his robe to thank Cao Cao, and demonstrated his unwavering loyalty. Guan Gong is a prime example of someone who could not be swayed by poverty, corrupted by wealth, or bent by might. It's well worth a visit.
I took my children on a summer road trip through Xuchang and visited the Baling Bridge Scenic Area to learn about the eternal story of Guan Gong who never forgot his former master, picked up his robe to thank Cao, and showed his great righteousness.

Shenhou Ancient Town is a living museum of the Central Plains Jun porcelain culture. The "Seven-Li Long Street" where the kiln fire never goes out for a thousand years preserves the ancient villages of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, bluestone roads and rows of Jun porcelain shops. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it once produced imperial porcelain for the imperial court. Strolling along the old street, you can admire the carved beams and painted buildings of the Bolingweng Temple, feel the charm of the Jun porcelain that "goes into the kiln in one color and comes out of the kiln in a myriad of colors", and experience the unique fireworks of the "living ancient town". The commercial atmosphere of the free-to-open ancient town is moderate, the price of porcelain is affordable, and you can also taste the special delicacies such as Shenhou Huoshao and Hele noodles.
Strolling in the ancient city, away from the hustle and bustle Shenhou Ancient Town has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese Jun porcelain. Jun porcelain culture is an important part of the Central Plains culture Many ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties are preserved in the ancient town, such as the Bolingweng Temple, Huaxi Tower, Old Street, etc. These buildings have unique style and historical value.
