Maolanggou National Forest Park in Jiayin County, Yichun City is located at the northern foot of Lesser Khingan Mountains, facing Heilongjiang River to the east. Its jurisdiction belongs to Xiangyang Township, Jiayin County, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, 76 kilometers away from the county seat. Maolanggou is a geological and geomorphological complex represented by the Indosinian granite tectonic peak forest landform, Quaternary periglacial landform, and neotectonic collapse landform. It is the only granite canyon geological relic with the most complete types, the most typical development, and the richest shapes found in Lesser Khingan Mountains. It is also a typical representative of the Indosinian granite formation tectonic canyon geological relics. The Indosinian tectonic movement 250 million years ago formed a huge granite base in this area that was once covered by seawater. It was uplifted to the surface in the Jurassic period. After the mountain tectonic movement, granite faults continued to develop, rock layers collapsed, and a tectonic destruction zone was formed. After hundreds of millions of years of wind and rain baptism, weathering and erosion by nature, the valleys have been cut deeper and deeper, forming the current valley landforms.
The air is super good, there are many trees and squirrels in the scenic area, it is very cool, and there is no need to bring a sun hat in many places. It is suitable for traveling with children over seven or eight years old.

Following the 4-hour route for ordinary people, it took us a little over 6 hours to complete the Tangwang River hike. The hike up the long, steep stone staircase at Linhai Guanyin was quite tiring. There were also quite a few chipmunks!
I didn't go to the nearby 4A and went directly to the 5A Tangwang River. There were a lot of squirrels and various fungi. Hiking on a rainy day is a different kind of scenery.

Once you get inside the sightseeing bus, you have to climb some stairs, but there are lots of little 🐿️s around to keep you company, feeding them and letting you climb without getting tired. It wasn't crowded, so we stopped and walked for two hours. There's a deer park nearby, with a 🫎 🫎, which is quite unique and different from the Jinshan Deer Park.
It's fun. I think this is a better forest park than Tangwang River. There are little squirrels all along the way. The battery car ride up and down is not too tiring. The forest coverage rate is very high, and there is basically no sun along the way. The park looks relatively primitive, and I think the traces are not so obvious. There are also many ginseng fields, which may be artificially cultivated and cannot be entered.

This is my second time in Yichun. The first time I came, Wuying was closed, so I had to see it this time. The air here is good and clean. There is a 20-scene shuttle bus, which you can ride as many times as you want.
The scenic area is very beautiful, and it is very comfortable to walk in the forest. There are also many chipmunks. The child couldn't walk after being fed. The park is not big, so you can walk slowly. Overall, it is very good, but the management of the shuttle bus in the scenic area is a bit chaotic. There are many people at the transfer station in the garden within the garden, but the signs are not clear and you don't know where to queue. Finally, the shuttle bus waiting room from the gate of the scenic area to the parking lot is also chaotic and crowded. There is no management staff to direct. There are many people in the summer, including children and the elderly, so management should be strengthened.

Note that the main content is outdoors! We thought it was indoors from the outside, so we got out of the car without any sun protection! Although it was hot and sunny, the kids really enjoyed it! I didn't want to take pictures because I was too sunburned, so I'll just watch it.
Highlights: Dinosaur fossils, detailed displays and explanations of dinosaur species and their habits make this a great educational experience for both adults and children. The garden is also beautiful, like a small park. Perfect for taking children out. Cons: Only the dinosaur pavilion is worth seeing, with its fossils and models, and good for taking photos and checking in. The other attractions are just for show. The ticket price is a bit high compared to other Yichun attractions, but it's a must-see.

Any tourist attraction with the word "national" in its name seems like it can't be bad. On my way back to Hegang, I happened to pass by Xinqing National Wetland and took a quick stroll. Unlike other parks in Yichun, this wetland park opens at 8 a.m., which is quite unique. Learning that it's home to white-naped cranes was awe-inspiring. I think I made the right choice. Unfortunately, the park is quite large, but the accessible area is quite small. Although the park is working to expand the area, it's still quite limited. A 15-minute walk around the wetland, another 15 minutes at the wetland education center, and a final 10 minutes observing the white-naped cranes and other small animals complete the tour. I was left wanting more. Perhaps I paid the entrance fee just to see the white-naped cranes and learn about the wetlands; I had no other impressions. Overall, this is a generally recommended wetland park, but aside from the white-naped cranes, the rest was quite disappointing. It's a shame.
One word: beautiful. Two words: too beautiful. Three words: incredibly beautiful. The kids loved the crane-releasing activity, and there's also a children's playground and a pet park. Even after the rain, there's something special about it.
