The Zhang Xueliang Former Residence, also known as the Zhang Family Marshal's Mansion, the Grand Marshal's Mansion, or the Young Marshal's Mansion, is located at No. 46, Shaoshuaifu Lane, Chaoyang Street, Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. It served as both the official and private residence of Zhang Zuolin and his eldest son, Zhang Xueliang. It covers a total area of 36,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 27,600 square meters. It is currently a patriotic education base at the provincial and municipal levels, and a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The architectural styles vary, including traditional Chinese, a fusion of Chinese and Western styles, Romanesque, Nordic, and Japanese. The Zhang Xueliang Former Residence includes several cultural relics, including a three-story courtyard, the Grand Green Building, the Small Green Building, and the former residence of Zhao Yidi. It is one of the largest and best-preserved celebrity residences in Northeast China.
The weather is hot in August, so visitors tend to flock to it during the summer vacation. It is conveniently located near Shenyang's busiest street, Zhongjie, for easy access.
