Only the caves are free; everything else requires a fee. The rafting is 60 yuan per person, including for children, which is a bit pricey. The children saw and fed the monkeys they had been longing for. They were not very interested in other attractions. We went to the Jade Maiden Peak and felt like vomiting from the car. The scenic area ticket office sells tickets for the scenic area bus, but there's no map or explanation of the difference between the direct route to the mountain top and the one to Sanyuan Palace, which was a bit confusing. I instinctively bought the direct ticket.
From the mountaintop, taking the bus back to Sanyuan Palace requires climbing a long flight of stairs to reach the Water Curtain Cave. Upon entering the cave, a loud speaker announces free photo opportunities. We walked down the cave a short distance before exiting. Then, we had to descend many more steps to reach the Sanyuan Palace boarding point.
After getting off the bus at the foot of the mountain, we had to walk through a long row of shops before exiting the station.
