If you drive to Yuhu Village by yourself, you don't need to buy a sightseeing bus ticket. Just find a restaurant that you can register. There are some restaurants where you can call the owner to register and the car can drive up.
My second visit to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain didn't disappoint. The snow-capped mountains in the distance were still magnificent, but the lines were much longer this time. The waits for tickets and the cable car were quite long, and I spent a lot of time waiting. Overall, the view was worth it. If the scenic area could optimize visitor flow and reduce waiting times, the experience would be much smoother.

The gushing waters were nothing we’ve seen before. The scenery was gorgeous and magnificent. It was an awesome day, an awesome experience. It’s not expensive too. However when we went to the ticket office to exchange tickets bought from trip.com, the staff had problems looking for our tickets. Better to just buy there at the ticket office
The scenery here is absolutely breathtaking 🤩🌍—massive mountains, roaring river, and views that make you feel tiny in the best way possible. If you read up a bit on the gorge’s cultural + geological history before visiting, it adds so much depth to the experience 📖✨.👍 The shuttle bus service we took was super convenient 🚌💨—no stress, just sit back and enjoy the ride.😅 On the flip side… it gets really crowded with busloads of tourists 🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧑‍🤝‍🧑 (we went around 10am–12pm). There aren’t any benches to just sit and soak in the views 🪑🚫 except the lounge area at the very top, which is a bit of a shame because you’ll want to linger. Also, no halal food options on-site 🍖🚫, so if that’s important for you, bring your own snacks like we did 🍎🥨.Overall: Stunning views, worth a visit for the natural wonder 🌊🏔️, just go prepared and maybe hit it earlier or later to avoid the biggest crowds. ⏰🙌

Cangshan, meaning "dark green," is also known as Dian Cangshan. The Tang Dynasty book "Manshu" by Fan Chuo describes Cangshan as "the summit is several thousand feet high, its rocky ridges azure." Therefore, Cangshan means "green mountain rocks." But who could have imagined that Cangshan is nearly 4,000 meters high? Wearing a vest and shorts, I took a hired car all the way up the mountain. As soon as I got the car, the only thing I felt was the cold! I persevered up the mountain to the lake, where the scenery was beautiful. Ximatan, or Ximatan, is said to be the place where Guanyin released a black dragon. Another legend goes that when Kublai Khan, the founder of the Yuan Dynasty, conquered Dali, he led his troops across Cangshan and stationed at Ximatan to wash horses, hence the name. The high altitude, the thin air, and the chill were oppressive. My only thought was to get down the mountain quickly!
The lines are endless, nothing special. I kind of regret not choosing the more expensive option. It's pointless to go up there. There's nothing there. I'll have to go for the 3,000 yuan one next time.

The scenery was breathtaking. Water was crystal clear. We went on a lull period so it was very peaceful and quiet. We took a didi to lige peninsula but couldn’t get a didi back. Nobody picks up our booking. Luckily the original didi driver gave us his number but he charges cny80 to take you back to daluoshui village. It was only cny17 to get there. Better to pay him to wait for you at the lige peninsula viewing platform for cny50
When the weather is nice, you must visit Lugu Lake. See the reflections of the blue sky and white clouds on the lake, touch the vast expanse of water lilies, ride a pig trough boat on the water, feel the breeze from the grass sea and the bright sunshine. Walk around the lake, watch the wind roll in the clouds, admire the sunrise and sunset, and then enjoy a quiet moment of daze, then have a steamed stone pot fish. I hope to repeat this cycle over and over again, forgetting all my worries.

The park lives up to its title as the first national park in mainland China. It's divided into three sections. Since I was traveling with my parents, we chose to hike in the last two sections, which include the lake and Bita Lake. The weather was bad when we arrived—cloudy with showers, and the rain was quite heavy. Plus, I didn't get enough rest the first few days, so I felt a little carsick, or maybe it was altitude sickness?! This slightly impacted the experience, but overall, it was a wonderful experience. A national park worth visiting. Besides the meadows and lakes, the diverse biodiversity is even more noteworthy. The squirrel Tashi is incredibly adorable and friendly, and there are all sorts of water birds. I even heard about black bears, but I didn't see any. Wildlife enthusiasts will find this place truly delightful. The scenery truly lives up to its national park title—it's incredibly beautiful. Even with the constant rain, the sky, meadows, and lakes offered a variety of different views throughout the day. At the end of the trip, we even saw a rainbow—feeling quite lucky! In addition, I think the point of traveling is to observe and feel purely without comparison. Maybe some components of the scenery here are also found in other places, but everything has its own uniqueness. Only by feeling without prejudice and preconceived notions can you see the beauty of the world!
This beautiful national park is a great option for those planning to spend half a day doing some light trekking and appreciating nature in a curated manner. For context, we left Dukezong by bus at 11 am and only returned at around 6 pm. We took our sweet time exploring the two lakes and had lunch in the park as well. It's well worth the price and time to visit Potatso when the crowd volume is manageable like the time we visited as it meant no waiting time for the buses and more time to enjoy the scenery. Quick tip: if you don't intend to spend on food and drinks (which understandably is pricier than what you find in the city), I suggest that you bring your own there. Just make sure to dispose your waste responsibly. It was unfortunate to see plastic bottles and packagings left behind by strangers.

The place is huge with many temples along with the three pagodas. I recommend booking the sightseeing bus to travel up the hill. You can choose to return with the sightseeing bus or walk downhill. It’s very clean and well maintained. Just amazing how well preserved everything is and in such good condition after so many years. The place is very tourist friendly and has introductions in English. We visited during the off-peak season and had some of the temples all to ourselves - got the chance to really soak in the history and scenery. Also a great photo opportunity! There was slight rain shower however as Maldivians, we are used to it and did not bother us or ruin our visit at all. We were expecting and prepared with umbrellas! It was beautiful and definitely worthwhile.

I've visited the Wannan Ancient Town and wasn't impressed. The ticket is valid for seven days, which is a good thing. The parking lot is too far from the entrance, making it difficult for those with mobility issues.
Although the ticket price for Heshun Ancient Town is relatively high, the long duration of the tour makes it a great value! The ancient town is large and has a wide variety of scenery. Visiting a different area every day is a real treat!

I knew Tengchong had hot springs, but I had no idea they were so intense. Steam filled the valley, making it feel like I was in a steamer. It was a first-time experience. The temperature was over 96 degrees Celsius. I tried it, and it was scalding. At the top, there was a large pot-like structure with a pool of turquoise water boiling. Someone was selling potatoes and eggs steamed in the residual heat from the pot... They were delicious! I even had a foot bath there; it was so relaxing!
Tengchong Rehai Scenic Area is a hot spring destination brimming with magic and charm. Dotted with numerous gas springs and hot springs, the area is enveloped in mist, creating a sense of wonderland. The Rehai Big Boiling Pot is the star attraction, boasting a water temperature of approximately 96°C. While immersion is prohibited, the boiled eggs sold poolside are a unique delicacy that will captivate you. Along the circular trail, you'll encounter a variety of springs, including the Pregnancy Well, Spectacle Spring, and Pearl Spring, each with its own unique name and story. Tengchong Rehai Scenic Area also offers two hot spring bathing areas: Jade Valley and Beauty Pool. The Valley boasts over 20 unique hot spring pools, while the Beauty Pool is a natural spa paradise, offering both physical and mental relaxation. After exploring the area, enjoy the local cuisine at one of the scenic area's restaurants or stay overnight at a hotel to fully experience the charm of this magical hot spring destination.

The fire and water sprays in "Lijiang Love Song" were truly stunning and thrilling, and the flying performers in "Lijiang Eternal Love" dazzled my child. The freshly baked flower cakes at Tea Horse Street were delicious and delicious. The kids' dads grabbed hydrangeas at Mabang Square, which made the whole family laugh! The Shouting Spring was absolutely amazing; my kids kept shouting for hours. Elf Valley is a great place for photo opportunities. There are so many interactive activities for parents and children!
The Dawa Tusi Banquet, with a small hot pot per person, is perfect for all ages, and you can enjoy the stunning Tibetan song and dance performance while enjoying it. Highly recommended! Dawa Village also offers intangible cultural heritage experiences, with plenty of rest areas for a truly immersive experience. Joining the caravan through the park offers a delightful array of surprises, and the kids loved interacting with the mushroom puppet team, which was incredibly fun. The "Ethnic Flash Mob" performance was energetic and the whole family could join in the fun. It was a truly rewarding experience!

I had hoped for a molten golden sunset by the sea, but instead, I encountered a lingering rainy day, which unexpectedly brought a unique tenderness. Lead-gray clouds hung low above the horizon, and the wind, wrapped in sea mist, blew against my face, bringing a salty, damp coolness that was far more soothing than the sweltering heat of a sunny day. The beach had lost its usual bustle, a few scattered footprints quickly smoothed by the rising tide. The fishing boats in the distance were blurred silhouettes in the mist, like a smudged ink painting. I found a small seaside shop, sat down, ordered a cup of hot ginger tea, and watched the rain slant into the sea, splashing tiny drops of water. Occasionally, a seagull flew past, close to the crest of the waves, its cries softened by the wind. Without the glare of the sun, even time seemed to slow down. No need to rush to tourist attractions or snap photos, just quietly listening to the crashing waves and rain was a more soothing experience than the bustle of a sunny day. A rainy evening by the sea lacked the expected breathtaking spectacle, but it brought an unexpected sense of relaxation. If you also want to avoid the crowds and find some quiet time, such a moment may be more worthwhile than a clear sky.
🌊 "Proven myself | Driving around Erhai Lake is the ultimate way to experience Dali's romantic charm!" If Dali's "romance" were a poem, then driving around Erhai Lake is the most free and unrestrained way to recite it! Renting a convertible here is very convenient and affordable. 💨 🚗 Step on the accelerator and enter a fairyland. ► Recommended: The Haidong Route! The road winds along the lake, and the car windows feel like a giant theater—Cangshan Mountain on the left, Erhai Lake on the right. Every turn is a "wow" moment! ► Don't miss the idyllic scenery of Haixi. Drive through rice paddies and villages, dotted with Bai ethnic minority dwellings. It's like stepping into a live version of a pastoral poem. 🌾 ► Pull over whenever you see a charming spot: take photos of the mirrored sky on the lakeside boardwalk, or wait for the sunset by the wetlands. Feel free to indulge in the feeling of freedom! 🌿 Ecological Corridor: Green healing on wheels. Don't underestimate the driving experience; the ecological experience is uncompromising! Cycle along the Ecological Corridor at night. The S-bend is bustling with activity, with many people singing and dancing. ✅ Enjoy breathtaking lake views throughout the ride. The waters of Erhai Lake are as clear as sapphires, and waterfowl dance in the wetlands along the shore. ✅ Pass by popular photo spots like the S-bend, the Corridor Bridge, and the Couple Tree, and hop off the bike to pose whenever you want. 📸 ✅ Play "Going to Dali" in the car while feeling the lake breeze—who knows this ambiance? 💡 Exclusive Tips ▪️ Vehicle Recommendation: Convertibles or cars with sunroofs are more photogenic! ▪️ Timeline: We recommend a morning sunrise or an afternoon departure, circling the lake counterclockwise to catch the golden sunset at Erhai Lake. 🌅 ▪️ Stops: Shuanglang Observation Deck, Wase Waterway, and Xizhou Ancient Town—each one is worth a stop! 🌟 Why is driving the best? Freedom! Spontaneity! No sun exposure! Perfect for lazy travelers, families, and couples—no need to ride in the scorching sun or hike, just hum along in the air-conditioned car and take in the breathtaking scenery. 📌 Follow me to unlock more magical routes! #DaliSelf-DrivingGuide #ErhaiStunningHighway #Wind,Flowers,Snow,MoonFreeTravel #TravelTips
