It was afternoon when we went there. The weather was too hot. There was no air conditioning outside, so we went inside the pavilion to enjoy the air conditioning. We saw three little pandas sleeping and five big ones waking up to eat. That was all.
We had to gather at 7:30 in the morning in order to get there early. We went through a special channel throughout the whole journey and saw the giant pandas in the opposite direction along the way. It was very suitable. The teacher in the group explained the content very vividly and interestingly. We learned a lot of interesting things and it is recommended to participate.

What a magnificent water conservancy project! You absolutely have to ask for an explanation, or you won't be able to fully appreciate it. Our guide, Xiao Du, was a mid-level guide at the platform. She was young but very good at explaining things, and my parents were fascinated. She even bought our tickets for the sightseeing bus, so we didn't have to worry about it. She also recommended restaurants for lunch (be careful with your choices; the second one she recommended was the Old House Sichuan Restaurant, near Chengkanyuan, which was excellent!).
As a world cultural heritage and the oldest existing damless water diversion project, Dujiangyan is regarded as "a model of ecological wisdom in harmony with nature" and "a thousand-year epic of harmonious coexistence between mankind and nature." It is worth visiting!

Entering from the east gate, it's a short walk to the Buddha's head. It's especially crowded in the summer, so waiting in line for half an hour to get to the foot platform can be quite long. The area is quite large, and exploring it completely would probably take a whole day. Just visiting the several Buddha heads and the main temples would take five or six hours. There are plenty of restaurants just outside the entrance for food.

The entire journey takes 5-6 hours. We took a sightseeing bus from the high-speed rail station directly to the scenic spot (20 yuan per person, 35 yuan round trip, about 3 kilometers, and the only transportation available is the sightseeing bus. Hey, think about it, it's basically the ticket price plus 35 yuan, because there's no other option. You can walk, but there's a big hill ahead, plus the 6 kilometers... every step is calculated for you). From the foot of the mountain to Laojun Pavilion at the top, it took us about 3.5 hours. The scenery along the way is quite beautiful, but there are a few sections of the road that are extremely narrow and steep, with tourists crowded together "hanging" on the steep slopes, which can be a bit dangerous.
