Excellent, a superb experience! The whole process was fulfilling and smooth, definitely worth experiencing again. Great, worth doing again!
For family trips, the cable car is a good option, and there are several lines that offer different views. Aside from the long queues due to the crowds, it's a pretty good option overall.

The scenery is beautiful, especially the night view, which is quite stunning. The view of the waterfall from the glass bridge is breathtaking! Although it was drizzling, there were still many people. We went in around 3 or 4 pm and didn't leave until 9 pm.
The room was clean and tidy, and the whole place was smart. There was a local restaurant on the first floor with delicious turtle. The cable car was free and they even provided hiking poles. The service was warm and attentive. It would have been perfect if the fermented bean curd and side dishes offered at breakfast had a non-spicy option.

The most anticipated attraction in Jiangxi is the autumn harvest scene, which is particularly beautiful. Taking the cable car there feels like entering a completely different world. It's a large place with plenty of food and drinks, great for exploring, and perfect for taking photos.
During this trip to Huangling, we stayed at a hotel on the mountain. There were dedicated passageways for going up and down the cable car, which was very convenient. Huangling is a very unique scenic area, boasting not only beautiful natural scenery but also ancient Hui-style architecture and residences in its villages, all carrying a rich history and significant cultural value. While enjoying the beautiful natural scenery, you can also feel the pulse of historical development. Overall, a positive experience.

Got my ticket on Trip, and had to exchange for a physical ticket (they'll automatically assign a designated seat) at the Ticketing Office. Show is at 1945 hrs and one can enter from 1845 hrs. There's really no hurry to enter early since it's assigned seating. I was lucky to get a seat in Area 3, which is in the middle section, facing the Pavilion directly. At the start they had some audience engagement activities with giveaways and also sale of calligraphy artwork by 王刚亮, a famous calligrapher, who claims 王羲之 as his great-great-great-grand teacher. The actual performance brings the Pavilion's history to life, through projection, drama, dance and music including fire acrobatics, pyrotechnics and mobile sets. Glad that it's tiered seating for unblocked views. Overall it's an enjoyable 45 mins that I highly recommend.
The setting sun and a lone wild goose fly together; the autumn waters blend seamlessly with the vast sky. Although I didn't witness such a beautiful scene, I gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of "The mountains and passes are difficult to cross; who laments the lost traveler? We meet by chance, all strangers in a foreign land." Highly recommended.

It's a great place to escape the summer heat, and the prices for food and accommodation are quite reasonable at this time of year. As for meals, you can eat at the hotel, but you can also walk to town to eat, although that's a bit further. It's much, much cooler than down the mountain.
Although Lushan Mountain was crowded during the National Day Golden Week holiday, everything was well-organized. There were plenty of shuttle buses available, making it easy to get on and off at any time. The scenic area is vast with many attractions, so even during the Golden Week, it didn't feel crowded at all. Don't worry about the crowds.

This was my second visit to Hongcun. This time it was more commercialized, with a huge number of tourists. The scenery was still quite nice. Anhui has many ancient villages, so I suggest visiting just one. The entrance fee is quite expensive. Although it's a three-day pass, who can spend three days in one place? This unintentionally raises the ticket price. I suggest improvements! This is our suggestion as tourists: lower the ticket price. Why charge such a high entrance fee for an ancient village?
Before visiting Hongcun, I was already drawn in by its reputation as a "village in a painting," and after seeing it in person, I found it even more beautiful than I expected! Buying tickets on the official website a day in advance saved me 20 yuan, and for only 94 yuan, I could enter the park repeatedly for three days – an incredible value! I rushed into the scenic area at 6:30 am. There was no one vying for a good spot at the South Lake Bridge; the blue tiles and white walls were reflected on the calm lake surface. The ink-wash painting style from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" seemed to come alive. A quick wide-angle shot with my phone was met with comments on social media asking if it was AI-generated. At 4 pm, I waited at Moon Pond. The sunset gilded the white walls, and the water reflected a "double moon spectacle." After 40 minutes of waiting, I finally got the best spot – the final photos were well worth the wait! The wood carvings at Chengzhitang are a must-see. Shining a phone flashlight at an angle, you can clearly see the eyelashes of the children in the "Hundred Children Celebrating Spring" scene – truly deserving of its title as the "Folk Palace Museum" of Huizhou. For accommodation, I chose a guesthouse near the South Gate, just a few minutes' walk from the scenic area. The window offered a view of South Lake. The owners were incredibly welcoming, helping with my luggage and providing detailed explanations of the local customs and culture. They even made sure I arrived safely before I checked out. For food, I highly recommend the mildly spicy stinky mandarin fish at Deyuelou Restaurant. The skin is crispy, the flesh is shaped like garlic cloves – it smells pungent but tastes delicious! Also, try the fried hairy tofu sold by the old lady near the Wang Family Ancestral Hall, sprinkled with chili powder – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and incredibly flavorful. Avoid these pitfalls: The cobblestone paths are extremely uncomfortable on your feet, so definitely don't wear high heels; a bowl of beef noodles inside the scenic area costs 50 yuan, which is not worth it. The "Laozaotou" restaurant outside South Lake offers a much better deal at 38 yuan, including stinky mandarin fish and braised pork with dried bamboo shoots; the "Huangshan Maofeng" tea sold for 10 yuan for 3 packs by the roadside is mostly stale tea. Look for the Hongcun Post Office at the South Gate exit, where you can sample the 68 yuan can of pre-rain tea. Whether you're admiring the Hui-style architecture, taking stunning ink-wash style photos, or savoring authentic Hui cuisine, Hongcun is worth slowing down and savoring. I'm already missing the morning mist, the evening smoke, and the fresh aromas on my tongue. I'll definitely come back again!

The guesthouse is fresh and elegant, with a stylish design, perfect for taking beautiful photos. You can relax in the lobby, reading or enjoying tea – the perfect choice for leisure. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfectly laid out, with separate wet and dry areas. The bedding is so soft and fluffy you won't want to get out of bed. The location is superb, right at the entrance of the Gangshou Cableway, making it very convenient to get to the Sanqingshan Gangshou Cableway! The owner is warm and attentive, providing pick-up and drop-off service at the scenic area entrance. A particularly thoughtful touch is the massage chair in the room; a quick massage after coming down from the mountain relieved my sore calves. Highlighting luxurious details and a premium experience, it offers exceptional value! For this price, the room and service are truly worth it! Highly recommended!
On November 7th, 2025, coinciding with the start of winter, we kicked off our winter escape plan with a "rain-stopped, fairy-like mountain" trip! At 7:43 AM sharp, we checked into the Jinsha Cableway. Clutching our 245 yuan adult tickets and 185 yuan senior tickets, we braved the light rain and boarded the cable car, muttering to ourselves, "Is this rain on the start of winter going to soak us to the bone?" But wait! The rain stopped abruptly as soon as we got off the cable car, and the clouds dispersed as if on rewind, revealing the unique peaks and rocks of Sanqing Mountain—the heavens were so biased! It was as if they cleared the way just for us to enjoy the beautiful scenery! As a "triple crown" of National 5A, World Natural Heritage, and Geopark, Sanqing Mountain truly lived up to its reputation! The S-shaped granite formations from the Early Cretaceous are truly remarkable. The "Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain," a 128-meter-long rock formation piercing the sky, resembles a giant python just awakened from its slumber, bursting forth from the mountainside, as if eager to be recognized as the "world's tallest natural python peak." The "Eastern Goddess" formation is also a perfect recreation, its graceful and ethereal figure in a long dress seemingly enveloped in a fairy-like aura. Today, I witnessed firsthand the so-called "four wonders": strange peaks and rocks, ancient trees and famous flowers, flowing springs and waterfalls, and seas of clouds and mist. Every step I took in the mountains was breathtaking: this isn't just a mountain, it's a top-tier sculpture exhibition by nature! The Taoist culture is also incredibly rich, with over 230 ancient architectural remains hidden in the mountains, including the Sanqing Palace with its Bagua (Eight Trigrams) layout. Sanqing Mountain is truly beautiful!

The temples on Mount Wutai have a different style from those on Mount Putuo and Mount Jiuhua, and they are still worth visiting. However, the area is very large and scattered, so you need to be physically fit. We visited a few temples and then headed back. The temples have a unique blend of Tibetan Buddhist styles.
The round-trip bus ticket to Jiuhua Mountain is such a great deal! Only 50 yuan covers multiple round trips within and outside the scenic area, providing seamless connections from the high-speed rail station to the core scenic area. The bus is fully equipped with excellent air conditioning and comfortable seats. The driver's skills are superb, ensuring a smooth ride on the winding mountain roads. Frequent departures make it incredibly convenient for tourists and an essential choice for visiting Jiuhua Mountain!

It's not very big, but those who like ceramics can come and visit; the museum is quite well done. It's fine as a place for an after-dinner stroll and a quick photo op. If you're short on time, this place can be prioritized much lower in your itinerary.
It has its own unique charm during the day and at night, and both are quite nice and worth seeing, especially the atmosphere at night. The ticket allows for multiple entries, which is very convenient. However, the alleyways within the scenic area are a bit complex, and those unfamiliar with the area may easily backtrack and wander in circles.

It started raining, a light drizzle that came and went. Wearing a raincoat and umbrella was quite a hassle, so I really wouldn't recommend coming on a rainy day. Drones were also cancelled. For the molten iron fireworks and firecrackers, you need to arrive at least an hour early to be at the best photo spots. The fireworks were set off too late, almost 10 pm, making it too tiring to wait if you're bringing children.
I had a great time visiting Wunüzhou Scenic Area. The night view was stunning, and the various folk performances were amazing. The hotel was very close to the scenic area, offered great value for money, had excellent service, and was beautifully decorated. It was a very comfortable stay.
