We drove up the mountain. In October, there was a sea of flowers in the scenic area. The colors were beautiful for taking photos. Children could also play in the water. There were also some farmhouse restaurants for dining. The road from the gate to the scenic area was quite long and the mountain road was narrow, so be careful.
Tianchi Flower Sea, a holy place on earth! It was worth the winding mountain road for nearly an hour. When the flower sea appeared in front of me, I felt that my life was complete. The gardeners took good care of the hydrangeas, irises, and lavenders. Each one was full of vitality.
The temperature on the top of the mountain in early July was so cool and comfortable. Looking from a high place, the mountains are green, and the tall buildings in the city are like a little cheese on the matcha cake. It is really a holy place for self-driving in the Greater Bay Area. The scenery changes in four seasons, and you can always see it.

It's just so-so~~ Compared to the price, it's just so-so, with average cost-effectiveness~~~ There are many still life exhibits inside, and each person has a headset to listen to the explanation. If the children are more interested in history and culture, it's ok to walk for 2 hours, but I don't recommend eating osmanthus ice cream, it's too sweet, with a strong flavor of essence.
20230315 afternoon:
1. "Osmanthus Commune" is a new factory-run scenic spot with osmanthus as the theme. It presents the nature, humanities, applications and commodities of Guilin osmanthus in a comprehensive and detailed manner. The indoor audio-visual and scenery visual effects are shocking.

2. The scenic spot has free guided tours, mainly indoors. Entering the exhibition hall, the welcoming mural is a nine-layer hollow carving painting, using the artistic expression of "overlapping colors". It is very beautiful after the tour guide turns on the lights. The content shows the top scholar, "Sun and Moon Twin Towers", Guilin landscape and other contents. Then we entered the history and popular science introduction hall of Guilin and osmanthus. Hanging above his head was a carbonized osmanthus seed that was confirmed to be 10,000 years old after carbon 14 testing. It was unearthed from Zengpi Rock in Guilin and is the earliest osmanthus seed in the world. The natural growth, varieties, and relationship of osmanthus with Guilin were introduced in the form of pictures, texts, wax figures, etc.
3. Entering the audio-visual hall, there is a 5D film introducing Guilin and osmanthus. The visual effects are magnificent and shocking, and the images of stepping on the ground make people feel like they are there. The popular science wall behind introduced the types of osmanthus. The next exhibition hall shows the application of osmanthus. Osmanthus is used in traditional Chinese medicine (there is a bronze sculpture of Li Shizhen compiling "Compendium of Materia Medica", which is a photo spot), osmanthus honey, aromatherapy, wine making, cosmetics, etc.
4. The next hall "Laoguan•Zhuangyuan Jidi" shows the relationship between osmanthus and the eight champions in Guilin's history. The colorful decorative lights above the head are densely hanging down like vast stars, and the color changes are extremely beautiful. The statue of the number one scholar holding a book and studying hard under the osmanthus tree turned the hall from a dream into reality. The semi-stereoscopic wall sculpture of the number one scholar, the simulated banquet before going to Beijing for the imperial examination (local officials would treat students to a meal before going to Beijing for the "palace examination" because the students would most likely serve as officials in the same court in the future), and the subsequent light and shadow animation were warmed up and paved the way. The animation was a segment of ancient figures projected on a painted relief painting, similar to a shadow play, and interpreted the last "three-level successor" in Chinese history (the first place in the provincial examination, the joint examination, and the palace examination. There are only 13 people in the 1,300-year history of the Chinese imperial examination, which can be regarded as a top scholar in ancient China that only appeared once every 100 years), the whole process of Chen Jichang from Guilin participating in the imperial examination and passing the imperial examination, eating osmanthus cake as a ration, and the strong Guilin style left a deep impression on me.

This is the only grassland in the south, and it's truly breathtaking. If you have the stamina, you can conquer every hilltop. Everywhere you look is green, incredibly soothing. We were lucky enough to see a sea of clouds; locals said they rarely see such a beautiful cloudscape. Highly recommended!
It's definitely worth a visit. In the morning, a thin mist hangs in the air, like a veil covering the sky. As the temperature rises, the clouds part and the sun shines through, revealing rolling meadows, leisurely flocks of sheep, distant windmills, and various castles, making you feel like you've stepped into a fairytale world.

Yangsu's Yulong River rafting is highly recommended. The bamboo raft drifts downstream, the river gently flowing, and the lush green mountains and waters on both sides create a picturesque scene. Tips: We recommend staying in a hotel or B&B near the Yulong River for convenient access. The bamboo rafting trip on the Yulong River is divided into several sections. If you're staying upstream, take a raft down, disembark at the dock, and then rent an electric bike to cruise up the Ten-Li Gallery, stopping to take photos or stroll along the river. Duxiu Peak and Jingjiang Prince City Scenic Area, located in Xiufeng District, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a scenic tourist area rich in history and culture, covering an area of 283 acres.
Duxiu Peak, along with Diecai and Fubo Peaks, forms a triad of mountains, one of the main peaks of Guilin, known as the "Pillar of the Southern Sky" and historically called the First Peak of Guilin. Rising abruptly, its shape is like a knife-cut hex, surrounded by other mountains, standing proudly like an emperor. Climbing 306 steps leads to the summit, the best viewing platform for panoramic views of Guilin. Located 1000 meters north of Diecai and 500 meters east of Fubo, it has an altitude of 216 meters, rising 66 meters above the plain, measuring 120 meters long and 50 meters wide, covering an area of 0.61 hectares. Surrounded by mountains in the distance, it resembles a courtier paying homage, creating a regal atmosphere of "a solitary peak not serving the other mountains," laughing at the surrounding peaks, and is known as the "Head of the Mountains, King of the Mountains." The cliffside inscriptions are scattered like stars, displaying a rich tapestry of history. Among them is the famous line, "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven," which originated here.
The intangible cultural heritage of the Jingjiang Prince's Palace is "Prince's Palace Rubbings," pioneered by Zhu Zuojing, the fifth Prince of Jingjiang. Using color rubbing techniques, it stems from the study of the palace's stone inscriptions and boasts a 600-year history. The most representative rubbing, featuring the Five Blessings, was featured on CCTV's Spring Festival Gala.
This is a highly recommended attraction. It boasts pristine, ancient scenery. A guide usually leads a group of about 10 people, providing explanations and commentary throughout the visit. It's excellent, allowing you to experience scenery and culture you wouldn't normally see. There are many authentic cultural relics reflecting Guilin's past and present. I suggest visiting if you have the time, but be prepared for the climb to the top for panoramic views of Guilin.
