I booked this hotel for my elderly family members. They stayed in a deluxe king-size bed on the tenth floor, and they said it was excellent—the breakfast and service were both great. Today I chose the lazy way to climb the mountain. I highly recommend driving. There are plenty of parking spaces inside the scenic area, and parking is free and unlimited. When leaving the scenic area, the electric tram costs 5 yuan per vehicle, and the gasoline car costs 10 yuan per vehicle. The scenic area entrance fee is 100 yuan. No reservation is needed for vehicles entering the scenic area; just scan your ID card at the entrance. Park near the Yunjing/Zhongling cableway (Level 1 cableway). Currently, only one of the two cableways is open each day, with the same price, and opening is random. Today we used the Yunjing cableway, which costs 130 yuan round trip. The Level 1 cableway is a must-ride; otherwise, it's estimated to take 4 hours to climb to Zhongtianmen. After getting off the Level 1 cableway, walk 5 minutes to the Fenglin cableway (Level 2 cableway), which costs 80 yuan round trip. After getting off the cableway, go through the Fairy Tunnel to reach the Ten-Mile Painting Screen. The essence of the mountain scenery is all here; it's all flat ground, no climbing required, and every step reveals a beautiful view. When you reach the General Peak service area, be sure to use the restrooms; they are cleaner here than at the top of the mountain. This concludes the tour of the Ten-Mile Painting Screen. You can choose to take the elevator directly to the Golden Summit for 40 yuan, but it has been closed since March of this year. The only option is to hike, which took about an hour. When you reach the Taibai Service Area, be sure to check the route carefully. There are two paths: one leads to the summit of Funiu Mountain, requiring further hiking; the other is a gentler path directly to the Golden Summit, which you can see at the service area, behind the souvenir pavilion. Both paths eventually lead to the Golden Summit; choose according to your physical condition. Today I only visited the Golden Summit, Daode Mansion, Laojun Temple, and Jade Emperor Peak. They were very beautiful. I went in the morning and didn't get to see the lights come on at night. When I came down, I saw a long queue for the cable car, just like during the October 1st holiday. People say Xi'an only has peak season and peak-peak season, and this place seems to be similar. To get down, you can take the slide for 20 yuan, which takes you directly to the entrance of the second-level cable car. The entire trip took 4 hours.
Overall, Laojun Mountain has beautiful scenery and is worth visiting, but the overall cost is quite high. If you need to burn incense, bring your own, as it's more expensive on the mountain (30 yuan for 3 sticks). Wishing plaques are also available; 5 yuan at the foot of the mountain, 20 yuan on the mountain. There are many stalls at the summit; instant noodles are 12 yuan, but don't bring your own, as you'll need to pay an extra 5 yuan for hot water if you bring your own. There are also Mixue Ice Cream, Bawang Tea, Kuafu Fried Skewers, Zhengxin Chicken Cutlet, etc., with prices similar to those at the foot of the mountain, which are quite reasonable. Most people choose to go up the mountain around 1 pm because the Golden Summit is very beautiful when lit up at night. However, it gets quite crowded. Also, bring a coat, sun hat, umbrella, etc. It's cold on the mountain, especially at night.
Laojun Mountain is truly a real-life fairyland! The cable car takes you directly to the summit, making it incredibly convenient. The ten-mile-long suspended walkway offers breathtaking views at every turn, with its uniquely shaped mountains and rocks resembling a natural painting. At dusk, the golden summit illuminates, creating a truly divine scene where the lights blend seamlessly with the sea of clouds, creating a stunning, shimmering, dreamlike landscape. In the morning, the sea of clouds surges among the mountains, accompanied by the ancient bells of the Taoist temples, offering a truly healing experience for both body and mind. With reasonable prices, excellent facilities, and the fusion of natural beauty and Taoist culture, this trip is absolutely worth the price of admission!

We went into Wudang Mountain as soon as it opened, so there were fewer people then; later on, there were long queues. So, everyone should try to get up early and get in as soon as possible to avoid the crowds!
Although I went in November, which was late autumn and the mountain scenery wasn't great, the Taoist culture was still quite impressive. The ancient architecture was different from the gilded splendor of the Buddhist temples. The Taoist priests were all friendly and talkative, and there were no signs prohibiting photography of the statues, so I could take pictures freely. The hike was tiring, but I felt it was more fun than Mount Lushan. The scenic area's shuttle bus system was excellent, and the connections between attractions were superb. I'll definitely come back in the summer.

Located by the river, there's a small park downstairs with trampolines and slides for kids. Parking is free and quite convenient. The latex mattress is very comfortable, and the environment is quite nice.
Of course, a visit to the Three Gorges Dam is a must for a national monument. My self-driving trip took just over three hours, and I wasn't pressed for time. The route was pretty good, but you had to get off at each stop and go to the transfer center to get to the next one. You couldn't skip any you didn't want to see, which was a bit inconvenient. The best parking spot is P1, which is closest to the visitor center.

Awesome! Must-see attraction for martial arts lovers! It's more than just a temple, it's an entire scenic area including mountains, monasteries and nunneries. One day won't be enough if you want to explore more than just Shaolin temple. My favorite place was the pagoda forest and you MUST check out the kung fu shows at the academy. There are also lots of places to eat and by souvenirs too which is convenient.
There was free incense at the entrance of each hall, and since I went during off-peak hours, it wasn't too crowded. Overall, it was a good experience! After all, "all martial arts under heaven originated from Shaolin," and it satisfied my childhood curiosity and longing for Shaolin Temple.

It's well worth the trip to see the Two Gorges and the Dam, especially the Three Gorges Dam's elevator, which you absolutely must experience. It's a magnificent national project; you have to experience it yourself to truly understand its awe-inspiring nature. And don't miss the delicious, tender fish for dinner.
Arriving at the visitor center early this morning, I didn't feel much, as this time I opted for a bus-to-boat trip. However, I couldn't help but marvel at the grandeur and magnificence of the Three Gorges Dam project! In the morning, a bus took us from the visitor center to the scenic area bus stop (10 yuan ticket). The park's shuttle buses then took us to various attractions: Tanzikou—185 Viewing Platform—Interception Memorial Park (Three Gorges Project Museum)—Miniature Landscape Park. In the afternoon, we departed from the visitor center and soon arrived at the Gezhouba Dam ship lift. Experiencing it firsthand was truly awe-inspiring. As the ship adjusted its attitude, it entered the channel almost without any obstruction. Once fully inside, the gate slowly closed, sealing the entire ship in the open shaft. Those with claustrophobia might find it a bit uncomfortable. Next came the lowering of the ship. Our ship, number ten, was lowered (I think an elevation might be more interesting). The descent was faster than expected, taking about 8 minutes to lower the ship nearly 30 meters. Our ship then sailed downstream from the Gezhouba Dam. After exiting the No. 3 lock, the journey took about 20 minutes to reach Yichang Station, where we docked. I was deeply impressed by the awe-inspiring sight of this national treasure!

Shennongjia, the legendary Wild Man, boasts breathtaking scenery. The sea of clouds is right before your eyes; even a phone camera can't capture its grandeur. There are also two adorable giant pandas. The environment is simply amazing! The only downside is that some tourists were spitting in the area.
