The price/performance ratio is quite high, because not everyone can climb up, the cable car is not tiring at all, and it reaches the highest point in two stages. I escaped the 40°C heat of Beijing this summer and chose to escape the heat in Taiwu Town, Chongli. It took about three or four hours to drive there, and it was surprisingly cool. The houses were decorated in European style, and the scenery was picturesque with blue skies and white clouds. I took the cable car halfway up the mountain to check out the large headphones 🎧 and the large Taiwu logo. The second cable car took me to the summit platform at an altitude of 2,160 meters.

Wanlong is also renowned in northern China. Its abundant number of slopes, impressive lengths and elevation differences, and impressive snow quality have made it a synonym for professional skiing. The resort is large, the cable cars are fast, and the crowds are quite high. It's suitable for beginners and above, with a wide selection of restaurants and comprehensive facilities. The only drawback is the high prices.

Dajingmen Scenic Area, located at the northern end of Zhangjiakou City, is a gate on the Great Wall, situated between the East and West Taiping Mountains. It holds the key to the border, boasting a strategic location and a long-standing battleground for military strategists.
Cultural History:
Construction began in 1644, the first year of the Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty.
The foundations can be traced back to the construction of the Great Wall in 1485, the 21st year of the Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty.
It is considered one of the four famous passes of the Great Wall, along with Shanhaiguan, Jiayuguan, and Juyongguan.
Gate Structure:
12 meters high, 13 meters long at the base, and 9 meters wide.
Its base is made of stone slabs and its structure is made of blue bricks.
The wooden and iron gates are original remains from the Qing Dynasty.
Signature Plaque:
The four characters "大好河山" (Great Rivers and Mountains) on the gate lintel were inscribed by Gao Weiyue, the governor of Chahar, in 1927 (read backwards as "山河好大").
Defense System:
Combined with the West Taiping Mountain Great Wall and Laiyuan Fort, it forms a complete defense system.
Remains include Northern Wei Dynasty beacon towers, Ming and Qing Dynasty enemy towers, and water gate ruins.

I have seen this gate in many movies and TV dramas. Now I am there in person, and I can still recall the busy scenes of Sino-foreign trade inside and outside the Dajing Gate. This is a fortress with such an important geographical location. It is well worth a visit.

At the junction of Zhangbei County and Chongli District in Zhangjiakou, there is a winding asphalt road of more than 100 kilometers. It stretches across the mountains with the ups and downs of the mountains. The scenery on both sides of the road is beautiful, with rivers, mountains, meadows and terraces, like a hundred-mile painting! The blue sky connects with it, and the white clouds echo with it, just like walking on the road to heaven!
The most suitable season for Bashang Grassland is from the end of June to the end of September. The air on the grassland is pure, there is little pollution, and it is also cool in summer.
I was unlucky today. It was raining intermittently on Bashang. The sky was always overcast, and occasionally the sun poured down through the clouds, which was a different taste. I still felt cool wearing long sleeves, it is worthy of being a summer resort~

Jiming Post Station, historically one of the most important post stations in the Jingji region, was known as the "Great Chong."
