A must visit place in Zhangjiajie. Elevator+ cable car ticket is very convenient. If you arrive earlier than your time slot you can easily reschedule at the entrance and enter early.

On the first day of school, climb the Yellow Crane Tower. The higher you go, the better the scenery. You can enter from the West Gate, climb the main tower, then visit the Baiyun Pavilion, the Poetry Stele Corridor, and the Yue Fei Square historical statue group, finally exiting from the East Gate. If you want to visit the Yangtze River Bridge after your visit, you can enter from the East Gate and exit from the West Gate, as the West Gate connects directly to the Yangtze River Bridge, making it very convenient!

As I entered the park, it was drizzling. Yueyang Tower stood majestically on the shore of Dongting Lake, shrouded in mist and rain. I felt a sense of poetic beauty that transcended time. The ancient sage Fan Zhongyan's "not elated by external gains, nor saddened by personal losses" was just like this enlightenment that entered my heart and soul. I am an old man, still able to eat, with gray hairs already appearing, yet I still have to pay an entrance fee. I wonder if Lu Su, Li Bai, Du Fu, Meng Haoran, Fan Zhongyan, Teng Zijing, and Lü Dongbin were blocked by walls and charged admission back then.

Located by the river, there's a small park downstairs with trampolines and slides for kids. Parking is free and quite convenient. The latex mattress is very comfortable, and the environment is quite nice.
Of course, a visit to the Three Gorges Dam is a must for a national monument. My self-driving trip took just over three hours, and I wasn't pressed for time. The route was pretty good, but you had to get off at each stop and go to the transfer center to get to the next one. You couldn't skip any you didn't want to see, which was a bit inconvenient. The best parking spot is P1, which is closest to the visitor center.

The story of entrusting an orphan to Baidi City has been passed down through the ages, and the Yanhuidui in Kuimen, Qutang Gorge of the Yangtze River is also well-known. With its natural scenery, cultural history, spectacular views, and wonderful exhibitions, it is one of the most worthwhile attractions in Fengjie. There is a direct bus from the high-speed rail station to the scenic area gate. After crossing the river, some scenic spots are connected to the top of the Three Gorges, which can be visited together.
The scenery was beautiful, but the weather wasn't ideal, with wind and rain. It started raining and blowing as soon as we entered the area. Since we were traveling light, we had to go back to the car to get an umbrella, tell the staff. The area is worth a visit, but the signage isn't very clear. For example, the boat ride directions are listed on the ticket, but there's no signage or explanation inside the area, which isn't very convenient for individual tourists, especially the elderly, unless they can understand the map.

We went early in the morning, shortly after opening time and there wasn't a ton of people. The glass bridge was ok, because you can't really see through the glasses at the bottom, but the canyon views are impressive. We then did the scenic walking hike down the canyon. Very recommended, as we were practically alone enjoying the nature. You can take a boat at the end of the trail for free that takes you right to the park's exit. Be aware of the numerous steps (quite steep) you have to take going down, after the free elevator.
I did the route B starting from 8am on a Sunday and it wasn’t crowded. A lot of people came for the activities, I would say and there was barely anyone at the nature path which was nice. You can take the stairs down to the canyon or get on the elevators. Walk down is not easy, lots of stairs and it takes a while so would recommend the elevator but it was still nice. The nature path at the canyon was beautiful and serene, definitively worth visiting. You take the boat at the end of the route to reach the exit.

The independent travel itinerary was very flexible. Although it was quite far from the Three Gorges Dam, we were able to visit the beautiful Xiling Gorge, making up for the shortcomings of a cruise trip through the Three Gorges. We also got to pass through the Gezhouba Dam lock – fantastic!
The Two Dams and One Gorge boat tour is definitely worth a try, but the guide was less than satisfactory. First, the timing. My parents and I arrived at the visitor center early, but the guide was nowhere to be found. We texted but didn't get a response, and we called to wait at the agreed time. The tour guide was told to arrive 10 minutes early, but my parents and I arrived over 20 minutes early to avoid being late, and the guide didn't show up! After boarding the boat, there were no free seats available, so we paid for an upgrade, which was fine. However, during the group bus tour, the guide was also talking, but I couldn't hear anything. The guide's voice was hoarse and difficult to hear throughout the tour, and I felt like my throat was sore. It's understandable that service isn't easy, but we paid about 300 yuan per person for a full-price ticket to the Three Gorges, and the tour company assigned us a guide with discounted service. This really tarnished the reputation of the Three Gorges River and One Gorge tour. I hope Ctrip will improve its selection of travel agencies in future partnerships! Don't tarnish their reputation!

There were too many people during the National Day holiday, and the sightseeing bus had to wait for a long time, which made the time a bit rushed.
