Mingxian Mausoleum is the only Ming Dynasty imperial mausoleum in the six provinces of central and southern China. It is located on Chunde Mountain in the northeast of Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province. This mausoleum is the joint burial tomb of Emperor Gongruixian Zhu Youxuan, the father of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty, and Empress Cixiaoxian, his mother. Construction began in the 14th year of the Zhengde reign of the Ming Dynasty (1519) and took 47 years to complete until the 45th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1566).
