Intense and the view of Pit 1 at the finale is amazing. Read up, use relevant audio guide or Chatgpt works quite well too. Recommend Pit II, III then 1 and the museum. Takes a good couple of hours (more time in peak, I went off peak near end of November and was still faily busy, lots of school trips it seems) Handy Tip: for the Terracotta figure you need to go into the end section of the large glass building just a short distance behind the big scholar statue and chat to the blue waistcoat staff to get your random figure
This was worth the visit and if you are short on time, get a tour guide. We were able to maximize our visit to the Terracotta Warriors and it was absolutely worth it 🙂🙂

The Xi'an City Wall is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China, and a landmark of the ancient capital of Xi'an. Like a three-dimensional history book, it bears witness to the millennia-long vicissitudes of this ancient capital of thirteen dynasties.
It's very convenient to buy and use on Ctrip. I entered the Xi'an City Wall from Wenchang Gate, which is right next to the old Beilin Museum. The entrance to the Xi'an City Wall from Wenchang Gate is behind the sign in picture three. It's very convenient, and it's very close to Yongning Gate on foot.

On the eve of my 80th birthday, I fulfilled my mother's dream of visiting Mount Hua. We took the cable car up the West Peak and hiked down the North Peak. My mother strolled leisurely ahead (according to other tourists), while we followed behind, our hearts pounding with fear. Mount Hua truly lived up to its reputation; it was definitely worth it.
In my personal experience, the scenery is just as good as Huangshan. It was like a fairyland that day. It deserves five stars. Aside from the scenery, the Sky Plank Road and the Hawk Turns are also very fun to do!

The performance of "The Song of Everlasting Regret" was incredibly moving! "Heaven and earth may pass away, but this regret will last forever," the core of the poem lies in the word "regret." This "regret" is Emperor Xuanzong's endless remorse after losing his beloved; it is the constant longing he felt day and night for his beloved, as expressed in the lines "The Shu River is blue, the Shu Mountains are green, the Emperor's love is constant, morning and night"; it is Yang Guifei's unwillingness to accept her tragic death; it is the regret of "Years have passed since our separation by death, her soul has never come to me in dreams"; it is also history's silent condemnation of the abuse of power, and the world's sorrow at the destruction of beautiful love by reality.
I had high expectations for "The Song of Everlasting Regret." Before entering, there was a parade of floats and song and dance performances in the square, which created a great atmosphere. The first and second acts of the performance were quite impressive, especially the scene with the stars shining all over the mountain, which was a brilliant idea. However, the subsequent acts were a bit monotonous and lacked depth. They were beautiful, but they lacked a truly moving and impactful quality.

A 4-day family trip to Xi'an made all the difference by choosing the right hotel! The Lavande Hotel Bell Tower Metro Station was an absolute gem, exceeding all expectations. The hotel's location is impeccable, just 30 meters from the Bell Tower Metro Station. It's practically a stone's throw from the door, making it easy to reach attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Terracotta Warriors, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda, or to explore the Muslim Quarter and Yongxingfang for delicious food. Traveling with elderly relatives and children is a breeze. The hotel is clean and tidy, with no clutter in the public areas. The rooms were a pleasant surprise – the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a quiet night's sleep for my family after our sightseeing. What touched us most was the lovely receptionist, Zhao Jiaqi! One night, I received an urgent work assignment and was frantically searching for my laptop. Without hesitation, she lent me her own personal computer, patiently explaining the usage instructions. Her attitude was gentle and patient throughout. This selfless kindness warmed our hearts while we were far from home, making our stay truly special. From the clean and comfortable facilities to the convenient location and the heartwarming service provided by Ms. Zhao Jiaqi, every aspect of the Lavande Hotel reflected meticulous attention to detail. Our four-day stay was flawless, and we've already recommended it to friends visiting Xi'an. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Xi'an! We are truly grateful to the hotel for the high-quality accommodation, and even more grateful to the kind and beautiful Ms. Zhao Jiaqi for her selfless help, making our Xi'an trip perfect and unforgettable.
Overall, it's pretty good, but the entrance is a bit awkward 😅, and the layers of security checks are quite a headache. It's best to go near closing time; going up to the city wall or looking at the exterior is quite nice, with a great view as the lights come on at dusk... Also, it seems like they're painting recently, and the smell is a bit strong...

You can think of it as a photography studio set in a Tang Dynasty-style garden. The night view is beautiful, and nearly half of the visitors are there for travel photography. The ticket price is a bit expensive. It's located right across from the Datang Everbright City street; it's optional.
The night view of Tang Paradise is very beautiful. I personally feel that it is best to buy tickets to enter before 6 pm, so that you can see Tang Paradise during the day and then see Tang Paradise at night, which will give you a comparison.

At the "One Incense Stick" viewing platform, the tour guide's laser pointer swept across the 150-meter-high stone pillar: "Doesn't it look like the totem of the Ba people's ancestors?" I gazed at the weathered patterns on the pillar—the 6-meter base gradually narrowed into a 4-meter waist, like the earth's fingers reaching towards the sky. According to the Book of the Later Han Dynasty, the soul of Linjun, the ancestor of the Ba people, transformed into a white tiger after his death, but the silence of the stone pillar reminded me more of Zhuangzi's "usefulness of uselessness": this uncarved rock, precisely because it refused to become a beam, pillar, or altar, was able to stand as an eternal monument amidst the wind and frost.
Under the sunlight, the Yunlong Ground Fissure features cascading waterfalls and rainbows; in Qixingzhai, a plank road hangs suspended in mid-air amidst towering peaks. The Enshi Grand Canyon showcases a spectacular landscape that seems to reach both heaven and earth.

The Shaanxi History Museum, located northwest of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, is a national comprehensive history museum with a collection of over 370,000 artifacts, systematically showcasing Shaanxi's glorious civilization from prehistoric times to modern times.
The Shaanxi History Museum in Xi'an is like a living history book. Spanning over 70,000 square meters, its Tang Dynasty-style architecture exudes a majestic grandeur. Upon entering, I was captivated by the bronze Fei Lian statue overhead. Warm yellow light shone on the slate-gray brick walls, casting a gentle veil over history. The glass cabinets in the exhibition hall resemble time capsules, housing over 370,000 artifacts. When the instructor explained that 18 national treasures were hidden here, my eyes were immediately drawn to the rusted bronze artifacts. A large tripod with Taotie patterns from the Shang and Zhou dynasties stood quietly, as if guarding a secret from thousands of years ago. The ancient human exhibits astonished me most. Clinging to the glass, I strained to identify the skull fossil of the Lantian Man—this Shaanxi native, 1.15 million years ago, could actually scrape animal skins with stone flakes! A nearby interactive model demonstrated how to make fire by drilling wood together, and the dancing flames reflected on the delighted faces of the children.

There were too many people, and the good viewing spots were all taken very early. We could only see the backs of the performers during the key shows. It would be better if the number of tourists could be controlled. The performers could interact with the audience. It's still not as good as the Silk Road in Urumqi.
This family-friendly hotel is such a great value! The room is incredibly thoughtfully decorated with children's toiletries, safety strips, and a small tent. My child was so excited and ran around non-stop as soon as we entered the room! The hotel has a full range of family-friendly facilities, including a children's playground with slides and everything else you could need. The receptionist, Nian Nian, is incredibly patient with kids and provides excellent service, even proactively helping to soothe the child. The afternoon tea is also delicious, and the location is convenient, with shopping malls and parks within walking distance. It's very close to Yongxingfang, making it excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next family trip and have already recommended it to other moms!

Wudang Mountain Scenic Area is vast. Enter early and take the shuttle bus to Taizipo, Zixiao Palace, and Nanyan for sightseeing, then hike up the mountain. When you reach Chaotian Palace, be sure to take the back mountain route to experience the essence of Wudang Mountain. Pass through the First Heavenly Gate, Second Heavenly Gate, and Third Heavenly Gate to reach Zijincheng and the Golden Summit. Hike down the mountain via Qiongtan or take the cable car down to Qiongtan and then take the shuttle bus back to the main entrance.
Wudang Mountain is naturally blessed with a celestial beauty. Its golden summit soars into the clouds, and its ancient and solemn Taoist temples stand amidst verdant greenery, their red walls and black tiles nestled among the trees. The sounds of morning bells and evening drums seem to allow one to touch the spirit of Taoism that has endured for millennia. The incense smoke curls around Zixiao Palace, while the cliffside pavilions of Nanyan Palace offer breathtaking and perilous views. A gentle breeze carries the sound of pine trees through the mountains; every step is a dialogue with history. Truly, it deserves the title of "an unparalleled scenic wonder, the foremost immortal mountain under heaven!"
