Absolutely breath-taking and a once in a lifetime experience for us. Pictures have always shown it as impressive but actually being on the Great Wall in person was an even incredible experience, hard to describe. Accessibility can be challenging in places, even with a cable car, for anyone who has mobility issues (I was in crutches). There is a lot of climbing just to get to the stunning views but absolutely worth it!
The guide was very informative, also this is not a walking wall , it is a climbing wall.

I learned about the Jin Temple in school, but only today did I get the chance to visit it. Located at the foot of Tianlong Mountain, over 50 li from the city center, the Jin Temple was built to commemorate the mother of Tang Shuyu, the founding emperor of the Jin Dynasty. The Song Dynasty main hall, offering hall, and flying bridges of the Fish Pond are well-preserved, and the Nanlao Spring flows gently. Ancient trees tower above, and the landscape is beautifully arranged. It's well worth a thorough visit.
The Jin Temple is not a single ancestral hall, but a vast complex of classical garden-style temples and shrines, integrating ancient sacrificial architecture, gardens, sculptures, inscriptions, and ancient and valuable trees. Its history dates back to the Western Zhou Dynasty, but its most precious remains date back to the Northern Song Dynasty. The Jin Temple holds a profoundly important position in the history of Chinese architecture and art.

The experience of having tour guide Song Peng was very good. Every instruction was very clear. The car departed on time. He was very capable. He prepared some precautions for the tour items and some water for us in advance. He was like a big head. He carefully introduced the differences between each island and recommended the favorite items and ways of playing according to our needs. It was quite tight to visit two islands in one day, but there was no discomfort. I was very happy during the process.
The itinerary was very compact and reasonable, but there was plenty of free time. The tour guide gave a lot of tips on local food and drink, as well as some opinions. He told us about some historical changes in the buildings, which was interesting and vivid. The bus driver was very skilled, and the whole journey was very smooth. I slept on the bus until the end. I felt that the whole free time was very sufficient. The bus driver was considerate and lively, and gave souvenirs. His business skills were also very strong! He remembered everyone's needs and responded promptly.

There is nothing much to play, just natural scenery, take various cars out of the ditch, there are grass skiing, water skiing, 50 yuan per time, the ticket includes the performance, a bit expensive. The scenery is not bad
The blue sky and white clouds grassland, the scenery is beautiful on a sunny day, there is a lot of traffic in the scenic area, the Internet celebrity train took, the elderly and children did not feel tired all the way down, there is grass skiing at their own expense, the scenery on the cable car in the ditch is the most beautiful, but there is nothing fun in the ditch. I came out to watch the Aobao performance, which was not bad.

I saw reviews saying that the North Gate is better, so I chose the North Gate and passed through the Eighteen Bends of Yanmen Pass. Fortunately, the road conditions were good. Due to time constraints, I was unable to climb the Great Wall, which was a bit regretful.
Yanmen Pass tells half of Chinese history. Here, Wei Qing and Huo Qubing defeated the Xiongnu in the north, Zhaojun journeyed to the frontier, and the Yang family generals fought against the Liao. Nearby is the Guangwu Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, also known as the Moon Gate, which is even more desolate.

The entrance fee is 50 yuan, and the shuttle bus inside costs 10 yuan for a 10-minute circuit, which isn't too expensive. The plant life is abundant, the air is fresh, and the scenery is well-designed and interesting. Each venue is unique and well-thought-out. The popular elevator lights up at 6:40 am, which is very romantic and beautiful. It's worth a visit and a good time.
As a new landmark in Taiyuan, Taiyuan Botanical Garden boasts a core competitive advantage of "world-class architecture and immersive science education." It caters to both photo opportunities and in-depth nature education experiences, making it suitable for visitors of all ages. Highlights include the three greenhouses (the Tropical Rainforest, the Psammophyte, and the Four Seasons Flower), the Insectarium, the Science Museum, and the nighttime light show. The garden's ecological value, cultural innovation, and high-quality service are truly a must-see, making it a benchmark for the integration of culture and tourism in Taiyuan.

The show lasted 70 minutes, featuring equestrianism, acrobatics, singing and dancing. Afterward, the horses' breeds and characteristics were explained. Afterward, you could feed and ride the horses for a fee. There was a slight odor inside the venue, so if you're sensitive, you can wear a mask. Those who aren't allergic will quickly get used to it. The shuttle driver was also very friendly.
It was a very shocking performance, loved by both adults and children. It allowed us to understand Mongolian culture and the importance of horses to the Mongolians. The actors all had unique skills and the horses were very cooperative, especially the many young actors, whose horsemanship was amazing and very impressive.

People say that the rebuilt scenic area is not interesting, but I think the experience exceeded my expectations! The discounted ticket price is less than 100 yuan, including large-scale live performances, and it is a continuous performance of different categories. It is interesting to bring the elderly to watch, which is super good.
I didn't know about this place until I passed by and saw how busy it was, so I bought a three-day ticket. I only used it for a few hours, but it was worth it. The show was amazing. [The text then abruptly shifts topics.]

#So close, so beautiful! Weekend trip to Hebei# I visited Shijiazhuang in May and had the opportunity to see the large-scale live-action performance "The Assassination of Qin Shi Huang" in Longquan Ancient Town. It was truly breathtaking! The actors were completely engaged, professional, and dedicated! The well-trained war horses were majestic, and the scenes of swordplay and sabers gleamed like a true journey back to the Warring States Period. Witnessing the thrilling historical moment of Jing Ke's assassination of Qin Shi Huang firsthand! Highly recommended for families! Longquan Ancient Town is a must-see!
Longquan Ancient Town: An In-Depth Experience Report on the Drama Fantasy City I. Immersive Theatrical Experience: An Audiovisual Feast Weaving Past and Present "The Last Stand": Based on the story of Han Xin in the early Han Dynasty, the show adds elements of flying armor and a golden dragon horse. The battlefield scenes are recreated through a 5D sound and light system, allowing the audience to feel the thrill of galloping war horses. 12 "Fantasy Li Bai": Holographic projection technology allows the immortal poet to "walk through walls." Combined with an HDR lighting system, the heroic spirit of "Song of the Wine" is vividly portrayed. 34 Interactive Performance: Visitors can participate in the plot of "Zhengtai Railway," becoming engineers from the Republic of China to decipher railway blueprints. The immersive experience has received five-star reviews from families. 25 II. Ancient Town Features and Supporting Services Architectural Features: Over 900 Ming and Qing dynasty residences have been reconstructed, and the Baochai Tower stage is the largest outdoor ancient stage in North China. At night, illuminated by lights, it resembles a long ink painting scroll. 14 Dining Experience: Specialty snacks like Shanghai shengjian (a type of fried dumpling) are available for 30 yuan per person. Hanfu-style teahouses are located along the Yingyue River, where you can enjoy tea while watching the parade of wupeng boats. 67 Amenities: Three surface parking lots (Parking Lot 1 is 680 meters from the scenic area). Wheelchair rentals and multilingual guides are available at the visitor center. 67 III. Value for Money and Visitor Feedback Ticket Value: A 78 yuan all-inclusive ticket includes access to several major performances and dozens of smaller performances, significantly outperforming similar attractions (such as Zhengzhou's "Only Henan" starting at 290 yuan). 38 Real Reviews: 4.3 points on Ctrip (1035 reviews). Families praised the "safety for children to run around and the cultural experience to be enjoyable." Some suggested improved parking guidance during peak season. 79 IV. Night Tour Highlights Recommended Summer Night Tour Route (until 10:30 PM): 6:30 PM Folk Lion Dance Performance → 7:15 PM "The Emperor and the Assassin" Live-Action Drama → 8:00 PM Yingyue River Light Show → 9:00 PM Hanfu Parade, Ending at Wonton Shop for a Late-Night Snack (511). Summary: For a 78 RMB ticket, you can "travel through thousands of years"—suitable for history enthusiasts, families, and photographers. For a better experience, avoid peak weekends.

Very beautiful alpine grassland, you can get close to cattle and sheep, and watch the sunset in the evening. You need to pay attention to your travel safety on the road, because there are some narrow sections.
The weather was bad when I went there, otherwise it would have been beautiful. Netizens are right: the best views are from Hohhot, driving along National Highway 104. After visiting Huanghuagou, the alpine meadows of Hongshiya are even more beautiful.
