Simple and Modest Tomb
What is most impressive is how simple and plain the tomb of Charles de Gaulle is. That is the way he wanted it. He did not want a mausoleum, he just wanted to be one amongst equals there.
No pomp, ceremony or ego. Simple tomb - laid to rest with his daughter and later his wife. Very moving given what he achieved in his lifetime. Respect.
