Strijp-S

After the evacuation of Philips headquarters, a large number of unattended industrial buildings in the Strijp-S area were converted into creative spaces, living spaces, dining spaces and leisure spaces. There are Philips Research Laboratory (Natlab) converted into cinema, theater, dining and other spaces, Philips factory chimneys used for light shows, two Bauhaus-style production buildings in the Strijp-S district, listed as “national protected building monuments.” This is the case of the successful transformation of the warehouse, which can be said to be the representative of the transformation of Eindhoven city. Strijp-s has transformed the old factory into a creative park in the post-Philips era.
