Guidong Botanical Garden

桂东植物园位于郴州市桂东县寨前镇水湾村，紧临国道，傍依汶江，地理位置优越，有山有水，景色优美，生态风景迷人。景区主要是由中山大学园林以及生态经济规划设计研究所规划设计的，总面积为3000亩，核心园区约为200亩。植物园内有木奇树园、红豆杉盆景园、四季花坛、玫瑰园、网球场等景点，是一个集植物景观、科普教育、休闲度假为一体的理想去处。

与其说是植物园，不如说是位置好，占地面积大，植物品种丰富的农庄，园边有河流经过，可以垂钓，沿河还修建了步道，可以散步休闲。夏天园外远近到处都是荷花，远山含黛，景色很不错。

Guidong County Botanical Garden is located in Shuiwan Village, Zhaiqian Town. You can see a large red rose close to the gate of the national road. The color is almost like a red sea. On the right side of the rose, there is an artificial lake. The lake is quiet like a mirror and green like a jasper. There is a small pavilion in the center of the lake, where some old people sit, some playing cards, some playing chess. It can be seen that they are very leisurely. Not far from the lake, they came to the most famous place in the botanical garden, the hot shed. The hot shed is called a sacred place because the strange flowers and plants here are all imported from abroad, which is very precious. Its green plantain leaves and thick stems on the small "Lotus" of Beijing and Guangguang quietly bloom. Like petals, open from top to bottom, worry like a blooming golden lotus. Don't underestimate it, it is also designated by Buddhism as a "sacred flower"! It's really beautiful, a fairyland on earth!
