He's still an active pharmacy.
Original Text
Mameda Town in Hita with a nice old townscape. As I was walking down the street, there was a white-walled building called Nihon Marukan. This historic building was an active pharmacy. "Nihonmaru" is the name of a panacea from the Meiji era developed at this shop. It seems that production was discontinued around 1965. Now, ordinary commercial drugs were lined up.
"Nihonmaru" is the name of the special effects drug developed by the owner of "Iwao Yakupo", another name of this Nihonmarukan. After the war, it became difficult to supply raw materials such as jacob and psychiatric jacob, and it seems that the production of "Nihon Maru" was stopped in the 1940s, but it was still operating as a pharmacy.
I came to Hita last time, but unfortunately I couldn't see the town. This time I walk while looking at the old streets of Mameda Town. Pass in front of Nihon Marukan, which is famous for Chinese herbal medicine. It is well preserved.
A merchant who used to make a medicine called Nihon Maru

A three-story building in Mameda Town, Hita. It is a merchant house that used to make medicine called Nihonmaru. Currently, the building and interior are open to the public and are museums. Admission is charged. Inside, materials from the Nihonmaru and the Iwao family are exhibited, reminiscent of the prosperity of the past. You can also go up to the observatory on the 3rd floor of the building. The building is designated as a national registered tangible cultural property.
At first I entered without much expectation, but ... it's quite impressive! As expected, it is a historic merchant house. Materials about Nihonmaru, which is a business, and the hobbies of the head of the 々 and various collections ... It was really good to see it. The inside of the house that was expanded in various ways was complicated and like a maze, and it was fun. It is highly recommended for those who like old tools and folklore.
