I went to the museum when they had an exhibition of modern Japanese art mostly from the 1960s. Generally a nice museum. You can get there from the station on the number 8 bus. 800 yen entrance fee.

From Nagaoka Station, cross the Shinano River and turn right, and it is located beyond the Nikko Hospital. This time, a special exhibition called "Byodoin Phoenix Hall and Jodoin" was held, so I went there. Many items were exhibited, from those at the time of its foundation to those made in the Edo period and stored for a long time, and restored items.
