Nice rest stop
Sheltered in a park, Big Lizzie is hard to miss. A good place to stop and stretch the legs. Read the signage. Parking on the street. Shaded picnic tables.
What a piece of machinery Big Lizzie is/was. Great history behind it and well worth the visit. Well done Red Cliffs for the restoration and displays. 10/10
Unbelievable bit of Australian History. Just incredible!!

Impressive traction engine you can see from the road. Was once used with its twin to clear the scrub. Was actually meant to cross the river but at 45 tonnes was too heavy to cross the bridges.

Well worth a stop.
Impressive structure as you drive into Red Cliffs; can’t miss it. Certainly worth a stop and read the story. Really impressive.
