Clock Tower

Torredell’ Orologio St. Mark’s Cathedral is to the left of the clock tower, which reads in Latin inscription: “I count only happy times.” Two conspicuous bronze statues of the Moors covered in dark green rust. Legend has it that the Venetians blinded the clock tower clock makers in case they created the same work for rival cities. The film Space City was filmed here. The copper man on the right seemed to be broken and didn't move much when the clock was ringing. The flying lion below is a symbol of Venice, which can be seen in many places.

When standing on the square, you will definitely notice this clock tower, which is in the middle of the white building, right on the edge. Closer to it, you will enjoy a feast of delightful sculptures and colors. You can get a better view from the balcony on the upper floor of the church.

We passed an arcade to the bottom of the clock tower. There was a clock above and two statues next to it. This is one of the main entrances to St. Mark's Square. You can visit for a short time, but the most worthwhile is to enjoy the views of the Palace of the Governor and the Church of San Marcos.

The clock tower is right next to the main square of St. Mark's Church, and is characterized by a large clock on the front. I didn't go to the terrace, but I saw a lot of people standing on the terrace, I think the view above is good, I can see the square and even the church better. The clock tower adds to this beautiful square.

We booked a tour of the clock tower with lots of steps (132) but the view was amazing! The clock itself is also well worth a look as you can really see the clock running. The view from the top floor that runs through the entire St Mark's Square is unparalleled and the 12 euro fare is well worth it.

Because the clock tower is located on St Mark's Square and surrounded by many other beautiful buildings, it is a little unnoticed here. Fortunately, a very close friend of mine made me notice it (thank you, dear by the way). She was right. It was beautiful, both mechanically and religiously. I enjoyed it very much.

Venice has countless clocks and towers, many of the more unique designs are built before the twelve hour system, so these clocks also use a 24 hour system, with scales from one to twenty-four. We saw a clock walking counterclockwise. There is a lot to see in the clock tower. We marched the square at noon to see the best effect of the clock tower.
