Verdun War Memorial

The Verdun War and Children's Monument was built in 1928 and depicts the five legions of the French army during the Battle of 1916. From left to right, cavalry, engineers, infantry, artillery, and territorial soldiers can be distinguished. These five soldiers formed a wall, symbolizing Verdun's motto, we do not pass through. The names of soldiers who died in action during World War I and World War II are engraved at the foot of the monument.
