We all love a bit of Instagram, don't we? Yes yes, it can show you stuff you're less interested in, but we're all a little bit addicted to videos, pictures and reels. And who doesn't love some Travel Instagram? With that in mind, we have a delightful array of travel destination inspiration for you to think about.
We've handily included a link for flights to each destination too, but be warned - in order to get some of these beauties, a lot of travel - like car hire - is involved. So some of the airports might be the most feasible, if not the nearest.
This list is just the tip of an enormous iceberg, and we've tried to keep it a mix of city, beach, mountain and… 'other'. Some will be (very) familiar, some will be new, and we're sorry that we missed your favourite place.
Let's start closest to home and work our way around the world…

The famous vista, which you will have definitely seen on Instagram. The whole island of Santorini is incredible, though, so be sure to explore beyond Oia and the familiar blue domes.

We think you may have seen this one before. But come on - it's truly iconic, and you will get giddy when the Eiffel Tower is resplendent in front of you.

So magnificent that it is actually pretty hard to fit into an Instagram-shaped image, La Sagrada Familia is arguably one of architecture's greatest achievements. Even more so when it's eventually finished…

Still the largest amphitheatre standing, despite being 2,000 years old, no Instagram-friendly list would be complete without one of the 7 Wonders of the World. The Colosseum will always wow you, no matter if you've been there before or not.

Located on the southernmost point of Germany, Neuschwanstein Castle is an absolutely staggering piece of Bavarian architecture. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior, FYI.

A stone-cold classic of the 'Instagram Travel' genre. We could pick any number of London landmarks - Buckingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral - but Elizabeth Tower, as it's never called, takes the crown for its iconic splendour.

You're playing the Game of Thrones theme tune in your head right now, aren't you? Dubrovnik has become iconic as 'King's Landing', but with its highly distinctive beauty, it's a hugely popular haunt.

Slovenia sits between Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia - the crossroads between the west and east of Europe. And though it's a small country, it's teeming with history and natural beauty, including the achingly gorgeous Lake Bled and its familiar island church.

No list of Instagram-worthy places would be complete without Amsterdam. The houses, canals, bikes, historical monuments and of course the 'spicier' elements make this city a must-visit.

It is genuinely incredible that such striking scenery lies an hour's drive from the urban brilliance of Glasgow. Scotland is abundant with such sites, but its proximity to a major hub makes it an Instagrammers dream.

If you've found yourself on the banks on the River Liffey in Dublin, you'll recognise the Ha'penny Bridge, so-called for its 19th century toll price. It's free now, of course, but expect to find plenty of camera(phone)-pointing here.

North of the Arctic Circle lies the vast, rugged wonder of the Abisko National Park. The summer means midnight sun, the winter means total clarity for the aurora borealis. Look at that picture - not much more can be said, to be honest.

One of the most visited attractions in what is already a famously stunning country, this geothermal spa is located just 20 km (12 mi) from Reykjavik's main airport - so you can hop through baggage claim and head to this bright blue wonder.

Thailand is an Instagrammers ideal country - but let's pay particular focus to one of the most incredible man made structures you can see. Admire the beauty, size and spectacle of one of the world's largest, and holiest, statues.

The world's largest religious monument is this exquisite Hindu-Buddhist temple in Cambodia. So significant that it appears on the Cambodian flag, Angkor Wat must be treated with respect, but it is so staggering you're bound to post this world wonder on your feed.

The world's tallest building needs little introduction, and its engineering marvel is matched by its striking appearance. The Burj Khalifa is truly a modern marvel, and one that's really tricky to Instagram, what with it being nearly 3,000 feet (829m) high.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's no great surprise. The image above will give you some indication as to why, a search on the internet is a far greater idea, and visiting Vietnam the best possible. Do it.

Boracay has been voted as one of the best islands in the world. Which sounds like some very strong competition to us. But with beaches that can be described as absolute paradise, this place is the definition of 'Instagrammable'.

Singapore is another place - city-state, to be precise - that offers a wealth of photogenic points of interests. Here though, we're going to shout about the Gardens by the Bay, a stunning nature park that… well, see the image for yourselves!

Image: JJ Ying / Unsplash
It seems slightly reductive to talk of one of the world's most famous, beautiful, and spiritual mountains as 'Instagram-worthy' - but, well, it really is. The most famous of the Three Holy Mountains, Mount Fuji is just one of the infinite reasons to visit Japan.

The home of mardi gras, New Orleans could arguably be the most fun city in the USA. Many Instagram hashtags will attest to this. But look how pretty it is! Truly unique in its appearance, NoLa is a photographer's dream.

Image: Anna Sullivan / Unsplash
With the fun of Cancun (minus the unbridled chaos) but some achingly beautiful beaches and Maya relics, Tulum is arguably one of the most Instagrammable places in the Americas. Mexico should be high up on your list as a photogenic destination.

Image: Javier Collate / Unsplash
Salar de Uyuni is the world's largest salt flat, and one of the many jewels in Bolivia's crown. High above sea level, the sheer scale and marvel of the flats make for stunning images. Like the one above.

On to a magnificent place that distinctly feels like 'the end of the Earth' (in a good way). Mountains, glaciers, lakes, and rivers will cascade into your eyeballs (metaphorically), making Torres Del Paine National Park a true adventure for the discerning traveller.

The adventurers' destination of choice for decades, but with good reason. Peru's main tourist haunt still stuns, the Inca Citadel located high above the Sacred Valley just aching to be conquered by intrepid explorers. Be sure to get a few good pics.

The USA boasts so many incredible National Parks, it's very hard to choose one - but if pushed, let's go for the very first. There's no place quite like Yellowstone, with sweeping plains, blizzard-hit canyons, epic waterfalls and mesmeric geothermal features - all at the same place.

Image: Jeff Griffith / Unsplash
Spanning the Masai Mara and over to neighbouring Serengeti is some of the greatest of the big fauna. Lions, African leopards, cheetahs, zebras, and African bush elephants can all be spotted by those lucky enough to safari here. You'll get some once-in-a-lifetime photos.

Image: Sammy Wong / Unsplash
Bordering Zambia and Zimbabwe is one of the world's truly breathtaking waterfalls. Over a mile (1.7 km) wide and revered by locals, Victoria Falls is a simply stunning place to visit. Your followers will thank/be jealous of you.

Image: Med J / Unsplash
The Tanzanian island is well-known for its turquoise blue seas and sandy beaches - not to mention historic Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and prominent in African arts history.

Image: Thomas Bennie / Unsplash
Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope all lie within the appropriately-named Table Mountain National Park. Over 4.2 million annual visitors every year can't be wrong - and, well, just look at that picture!
