We had an easy pick up experience at the Zagreb Airport - there is Nova Rent a Car booth right when you exit customs where you sign the rental contract and pay the cross border fee (we were driving into Slovenia) before heading to ankther booth 2mins walk located on the edge of a separate carpark for renral cars to collect the keys, check rhe conditions then drive off. We managed to squeeze 5 adults into the Kia Sportage 1.6AT together with 3 large luggages plus 2 small backpacks. The car was very clean and in good condition, performed very well throughout our journey through the Slovenia mountains down to Istria in Croatia then across to Dubrovnik before returning back to Zagreb.

We ordered a wagon because we needed the luggage space. When we arrived, we were offered an A5 fastback as an "upgrade". When we made it clear this wasn't appropriate (we'd paid extra for a wagon!), they found us a Skoda Superb - not a wagon, but it "just* had enough space (way more than the A5 has).
Once the issue with the wrong car was sorted, the staff dropped the car to us, which was great.
At drop-off, they found a scratch on the wheel - but confirmed to us it was on the car when we received it.
The staff at both pick-up and drop-off were great, it's just a shame the company accepted payment for one type of car but then chose to supply something else.

Easy rental services and enjoy the stability and safety features of the car.However, we realised the car had high fuel consumption and fairly challenging to navigate Croatia landscapes. Some of the places are too sloppy for Asian drivers.

The condition of the vehicle was good. However, the fuel tank was not full, so there was the inconvenience of having to calculate the cost carefully when returning the car. This is because you will not receive a refund for refueling more than the stated amount.
