The rental car was BMW x1 brand new. I booked 11am but I arrived 10.30am, had to wait till 11am. I thought the rental was based on days, not hours

The car pick-up and drop-off locations were inside the airport. The paperwork was processed relatively quickly. The car was clean and new, with a glass dashboard and HUD. There was no hard-sell insurance. The staff were friendly. Apparently, the Munich highways are toll-free, and the road conditions were good. Finding parking was a bit difficult, which seems to be common in Europe.

Upon pick up of the car, the counter staff looked at our luggages and felt that there would not be enough space and suggested an upgrade, which was a smart choice but of course that comes with an upgrade fee thats charged per day. They continued to kept asking us to upgrade to a better brand but we insist not to and settled with VW Tourag. Please note that there will be additional premium location fee of €200 charged separately from what you pay in Trip.com if you pick up/return at the airport. This was not informed and came as a surprise. Besides the extra charges, the car was alright and in good condition. It served us well for 12 days, pick up and return of the vehicle was easy.

We were heading to the snow and definitely wanted an all wheel drive vehicle and booked a category that only had all wheel drive options. On arrival we were offered our car of choice, but in a fwd version. We had to pay extra to upgrade to AWD. Apart from this extra cost, service and vehicle were excellent. Will book with Sixt again

We originally booked an SUV, but the counter said the BMW X4 they were going to give us was unavailable, so they gave us a Mercedes E Wagon instead. It was practically brand new, with only two or three hundred kilometers on it, and spotless. The counter staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—the most professional and helpful car rental counter I've ever encountered in my travels around the world. Our trip had a wonderful start because of them. The rental location was in the city center, very convenient, and the return instructions were clear. Even outside of opening hours, reading the signs and instructions and inserting the keys and documents was very easy. Payment via email was also no problem. I highly recommend this rental company.
