In September, Shijiazhuang Grand Theater will celebrate its seventh anniversary. To this end, Shijiazhuang Grand Theater has launched the "Light Up the Northern Opera Nest"丨Shijiazhuang Grand Theater 2024 Southern and Northern Dialects Opera Festival. This opera festival brings together famous opera troupes and plays from all over the country, providing a grand platform for the exchange of northern and southern operas, showing the profoundness and unique charm of Chinese opera, promoting the inheritance and innovative development of opera art, and is committed to building Shijiazhuang Grand Theater into a place for opera performances and a palace for the gathering of famous Chinese traditional opera masters. 
This opera festival will start on September 6 and end on December 28. It is divided into two major sections: [Invitation of Operas from the North and South] and [Opera Performances from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei]. It will bring 24 programs and 29 shows, covering 7 genres: Huangmei Opera, Henan Opera, Kunqu Opera, Shanghai Pingtan, Peking Opera, Hebei Bangzi Opera and Qinqiang Opera. Many winners of the Plum Blossom Award and Peony Award will perform on stage one after another. 
From October to December, the North-South Opera Invitation Section invited He Yun, winner of the "Five One Project Award", "Wenhua Award" and "Meihua Award" of Anhui Huangmei Opera House, to star in "Dream of Red Mansions", Wang Ying, winner of the "Excellent Repertoire Preservation Award" of the Ministry of Culture, to star in "The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl", Wu Suzhen, winner of the "Meihua Award" of the Henan Yu Opera Youth Troupe, to star in the Yu Opera "Three Brushes of the Sleeves", Du Yongzhen, an outstanding actor of the Henan Yu Opera Youth Troupe, to star in the Yu Opera "Mu Guiying Defeats the Tianmen Formation", the Kunshan Contemporary Kunqu Opera House's founding classic Kunqu Opera "The Story of Washing Silk", and Gao Bowen, head of the Shanghai Pingtan Troupe and a national first-class actor, to star in the Pingtan "Gao Bowen Talks about Flowers" and "Dream of Red Mansions: The Twelve Beauties of Jinling". 7 performances of 8 shows sounded the rallying call for North-South operas and presented a feast of opera for drama fans. 
The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei opera performance section invited six troupes including Tianjin Youth Peking Opera Troupe, Shijiazhuang Pingju Theater, and Shijiazhuang Peking Opera Troupe to perform 17 shows and 21 performances including Peking Opera "Yu Tang Chun", Pingju "The Oiran and the Oil Seller", and Hebei Bangzi "Mountain Rhythm".
