Chinese New Year is around the corner! We are stoked to present to you our latest creative installation, themed Bountiful Blessings (年年有余). Inspired by the meaningful Chinese custom revolving around “Fish”, our humble alley is adorned with 148 lanterns - highlighting a mix of Giant Fish Lanterns, and Fish Kites. This wish carries the hope of receiving Abundant Blessings in all aspects of life - wealth, health, wisdom, luck, beauty, popularity, and grace. At Kwai Chai Hong, we centered this on “sharing that abundance with others, the joy of giving more”.
To walk the talk, we are sharing our installation with everyone by bringing it OUT into the street! Join us at the Fish Lantern Parade (鱼你同行) on the 11th and 18th Jan (both Saturday), departing Kwai Chai Hong at 7PM, and become part of the living tradition, celebrating gratefulness, contentment, and the joy of sharing!
In conjunction with the installation, join us at the Happy Fish Weekend Marketplace, (鱼乐年坊), on 2 weekends (11 - 12 Jan, and 18-19 Jan), open from 9AM to 6PM daily. Come and enjoy live session of calligraphy, and watercolour painting at our alley by popular artists Master Cheng , Master Raymond Loo, and Jason Min . Explore festive goods and decor, artisanal creations and so much more.

Kwai Chai Hong in Kuala Lumpur is located between Theater Lane and Petaling Street. When you enter the lane, you can see an archway with six themed murals on display, telling different stories. 

These murals restore the daily life scenes of the Chinese gathering place in the 1960s. In addition to the shops and murals converted from old buildings, the oldest century-old street lights in Kuala Lumpur are also preserved.

The century-old buildings in Kwai Chai Hong are historical relics left near Petaling Street. The buildings in Kwai Chai Hong have been renovated several times in response to the development of the times. Most of them are old buildings that combine British colonial and modern styles. Among them, the four connected two-story buildings in the lane retain the style of traditional Cantonese architecture in southern China.

Today&#39;s buildings have been repainted, and the specific colors of the buildings at that time are retained, giving them a brand new look. In addition to taking photos and checking in, it has also become a beautiful street scene.

Recommend it to everyone who doesn&#39;t have much time, but want to get a taste of the city. Buses go to the most well-known places. You can either go through all of them and decide which ones you want to visit later, or get off the bus in any interesting place, and then get back on the next bus. We chose the first plan, had much fun on the bus, and made a lot of nice pictures.

Had a fun day at Genting SkyWorlds! The rides and attractions are great for both adults and kids. Using the Genting SkyWorlds app was really helpful it shows your location on the map and helps plan where to go.One drawback: some attractions were closedOverall, a fun and enjoyable visit, worth exploring! will come back again!
