Art played a key role at the dawn of natural history in 16th and 17th century Europe. Advances in science and technology, trade, and colonial expansion enabled naturalists to study previously unknown and overlooked insects, animals, and other beestjes, or "little beasts." Artists such as Joris Hoefnagel and Jan van Kessel helped deepen and spread knowledge of these creatures through highly detailed and playful works that inspired generations of printmakers, painters, decorative artists, and naturalists. 
A delight for all ages, this exhibition uniquely showcases nearly 75 of these paintings, prints, and drawings, as well as specimens and taxidermy from the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. Learn about the rich exchanges between artists and naturalists that have fueled our fascination with creatures big and small on Earth. The National Art Gallery is located in Washington, DC and is managed by the Smiths Association. The building itself is divided into two buildings, with underground passages that can be connected or across the road from the ground, and a sculpture park is also included. Museum visits are free and are closed on Sundays. Originally, it was a pity to find that the Leonardo&#39;s real artifact was not open. I heard that the White House has not been open to the public since 911, and we can only look far outside the fence when we go, so the White House has become a boring landmark, taking a photo of the tourists who &ldquo;come here&rdquo; to check in. There is a big pine tree on the south side of the White House, and I didn&rsquo;t expect it to be a &ldquo;landmark&rdquo; and a &ldquo;national Christmas tree&rdquo;... Well, it seems that you should pick Christmas to visit.

⌚️ Time: 8:30-16:30, Monday-Saturday Capitol Hall appointment visit is free, but the number of daily visits is limited, it is best to make an appointment in advance, we are 9:30 in the morning, they will give you a white stick on the clothes (see picture 1, the mother&#39;s chest is white, Green is the Library of Congress). There is only one time period that is Mandarin interpretation. I thought it was Chinese. The result was a foreign sister. I was quite surprised. I thought she could speak Chinese. Came here on September 21, 2017.

Between Capitol Hill and the Washington Monument, there is a long and narrow green space, which is the National Mall of the United States. There are many national museums and memorials around the square. Each venue is very interesting and you can spend half a day visiting a single place.

If you don&#39;t have enough time, it&#39;s also good to take pictures. These buildings have different shapes, and taking pictures and checking in are very photogenic.
