Basel's carnival is the largest and most popular festival in Switzerland, with 15,000 to 20,000 visitors participating in the festival, and each participant will wear a mask during the festival. The carnival opens on the Monday after Ash Wednesday. In the early morning, when the clock hands point to 4, groups of flute players and drummers put on their festive costumes and masks with small headlights in a noisy manner. In the dim light of the small headlights, they play festive music while wandering in the city center that has not yet awakened from the night. 
As the largest and most famous carnival in Switzerland, it is listed as an intangible cultural heritage of the United Nations.
• It opens with the lantern parade of "Morgestraich" at 4 o'clock in the morning and lasts for three days and three nights. Features include "Guggenmusik" bands, humorous and satirical masks and float parades.

There is a sundial on the wall outside the Basel Cathedral. This church has a very long history. What is unique is that there is a highland behind the church, next to the Rhine River. It is a good place to relax and rest. Many people sit here, eat lunch and enjoy the river view. We also sat here for a while and had something to eat.

We walked along the Rhine River to the famous Three-Country Monument in Basel. The air in Switzerland is so good! There were few people on the road during the morning rush hour. The Three-Country Monument is right by the river, so it was quite memorable to take some photos there.

Basel&#39;s City Hall is unexpectedly beautiful. We arrived in the city center early and other attractions were not open, so we went to the City Hall first. The red sandstone building is very colorful and decorated with gold, which is very beautiful. There are many large murals inside the building with rich colors. Against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, this red building is even more beautiful.
