Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum covers an area of ​​50,000 square meters, a construction area of ​​71,700 square meters, and an exhibition hall area of ​​31,000 square meters.
Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, formerly known as the Southwest Museum established in March 1951, was renamed Chongqing Museum in June 1955. The new museum was officially opened to the public on June 18, 2005.
The museum consists of five venues: the main hall, Chongqing Baiheliang Underwater Museum, Chongqing Song Qingling Memorial Hall, Tushan Kiln Site, and Chongqing Three Gorges Cultural Relics Science and Technology Protection Center. Together with the adjacent Chongqing People&#39;s Square and the People&#39;s Auditorium, it forms a &quot;three-in-one&quot; urban landmark building complex.
The exhibition consists of 4 basic exhibitions, 6 thematic exhibitions, 1 360-degree full-circle movie, 1 half-view painting exhibition, 1 audience practice center and 3 temporary exhibitions.

The Chongqing Two Rivers Cruise is an absolute must-do, and the VIP ticket is worth every penny. We were treated to complimentary fresh fruits, small cakes, snacks, water, and tea, which was a lovely touch.The biggest advantage was the exclusive VIP access to the front and back decks of the ship. These areas provided breathtaking, unobstructed views of the magical city skyline, allowing for perfect photos without the crowds.I took the first evening cruise around 7:20 PM, and it was pleasantly uncrowded. However, when we returned to the pier, the waiting line was huge. To avoid long waits, definitely aim for the first or an early departure. The schedule seems flexible; boats just depart as they fill up after the first run. This was the perfect way to see Chongqing&#39;s spectacular lights. Highly recommended!
