This is the largest underwater fireworks display in Ehime Prefecture, usually held on the first Saturday of August every year. In previous years, it was a grand fireworks display with the 15th and underwater fireworks, but in 2012, it was a commemorative event for the 20th anniversary of the merger of the former Hojo City and the former Nakajima Town with Matsuyama City. Although the scale is scheduled to be reduced, it is expected to be a fireworks display worth seeing.

On a steep hill in the center of Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, there is a traditional Japanese ancient city, Matsuyama Castle. In ancient times, it was easy to defend and difficult to attack. Now it is the best place to climb up and overlook the city and the sea. 

Matsuyama Ancient City and Castle Tower is one of the twelve existing castle towers in Japan built before the Edo period. It was built in 1602 and took 25 years to build. Later, part of the building was damaged by lightning, and the current part of the building was rebuilt in 1854.

The museum-like cultural relics exhibition in the castle tower allows visitors to learn about the history and culture of the Matsuyama area in Japan. At the same time, you can overlook the beautiful Matsuyama city and seaside scenery.
