Shanhaiguan, also known as the No. 1 Pass in the World, is located in Shanhaiguan District in the northeast of Qinhuangdao City. Shanhaiguan Pass was built in the Ming Dynasty. It is backed by Yanshan Mountain in the north and faces the Bohai Sea in the east. It is a city pass with a complete defense system and an important military fortress in ancient times. The &quot;inside and outside the pass&quot; often mentioned in ancient times are bounded by Shanhaiguan. Shanhaiguan is one of the important passes in the eastern part of the Ming Great Wall. It echoes Jiayuguan in the western section and is the head and tail of each other. It has the reputation of &quot;the No. 1 Pass in the World&quot;.

The No. 1 Pass in the World
- It is a landmark building of Shanhaiguan and an outstanding representative of ancient Chinese city defense architecture.
- Location: No. 1 Dongda Street, Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, located in the northeast of Hebei Province, in Shanhaiguan District, Qinhuangdao City.
- Transportation Guide: It takes less than 500 meters to walk from the railway station to the foot of Shanhaiguan. Buses 25, 33, 302, tourist line 4, tourist line 5, and 503 all have stops at the No. 1 Pass in the World.

Laolongtou
- It is the only land and sea military defense system in the Great Wall that integrates mountains, seas, passes, and cities. It is also the easternmost end of the Great Wall.
