It&#39;s a convenient half-hour taxi ride from Binhai Station. Tickets are free if you reserve in advance, and we bought tickets for the 3D cinema on-site, allowing us to enter without reservation.
The exhibition hall is quite large. We rented two VR cameras for the children, but I don&#39;t recommend it; the older kids got bored after a while, and the younger ones used them as video games. You can join a guided tour on the second floor for 68 yuan per person for an hour, and they cover most of the highlights.
We didn&#39;t eat at the exhibition hall, but there&#39;s a good Jixiang wonton shop near the entrance. Just avoid their chicken patties and roujiamo (Chinese meat sandwiches), as they&#39;re pre-made. Just down the road is Nanwan Park, where you can dig in the sand and fish for crabs, which is plenty of fun for the kids.

It&#39;s a great place to take the kids. The marine animals are well-maintained and healthy. I didn&#39;t manage to see them all in one day. I quickly visited the Future Jellyfish Pavilion just before closing time, but I didn&#39;t get to see them all. The Polar Circus was thrilling and engaging. While the Polar Parade didn&#39;t have many performers, the atmosphere was wonderful and joyful. There&#39;s no need to buy a separate ticket for the water park; the complimentary ticket was still enough for a bit of fun. My only complaint was that, aside from the tall, bespectacled man at the entrance to the main pavilion, the service from the other staff was terrible. They looked impatient, and even the responses to my questions were incredibly slow!
