Holding at Lake Ashi in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, the Hakone-en Summer Night Festival is a picturesque fireworks display that lights up the summer nights. In 2025, the event will take place over two days, on August 2 (Saturday) and 3 (Sunday), with 2,500 fireworks fired each day from the lake. The glow of stars and water on the calm waters of Lake Ashi echoes through the mountains as sound and light create an overwhelming sense of reality. Starting this year, paid viewing seats (2,000 yen) have also been set up on the beach by the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy an even more magnificent view. There is also a large grassy area where you can spread out a picnic blanket and relax while watching the celebrations, and food stalls and food trucks are lined up to enjoy the festival-like atmosphere.

The outdoor part of the museum displays more than 120 large-scale sculptures and artworks distributed among the rolling hillside grasslands and gardens. You can stroll on the grassland or take photos among the mountain scenery and sculptures, forming a unique interactive art experience. 1
The &quot;Picasso Pavilion&quot; in the art museum is one of the highlights and is dedicated to collections.
There are about 300 pieces of Picasso&#39;s works, including his paintings, ceramics, sculptures, prints and tapestries (! You are not allowed to take pictures in the Picasso Museum, you can only remember this beautiful moment with your eyes)
This is not only a place to display art, it is integrated with the surrounding natural environment, allowing us to enjoy the tranquil natural scenery while appreciating art.

I visited for the first time in decades. In conclusion, I&#39;m glad the kids enjoyed it. Personally, I like the open-air bath at the end, where you can enjoy the sun and feel calm because not many people come that far.
