Les fleurs du mâle is the artist’s first exhibition in Greece and features paintings, sculptures, and photographs produced over the past two decades.

Acropolis, in Greek, is Acropolis, which means &quot;city-state on a high mountain&quot;. There are many Acropolises in Greece, but the Acropolis of Athens has been the eternal pride of the Greeks since it was built 2,600 years ago.
The Acropolis of Athens is located on a limestone hill 150 meters above sea level in the southwest of Athens. It was built in the 5th century BC and is a holy place to commemorate the victory of the Greco-Persian War and to worship Athena, the patron saint of Athens. The main building, the Parthenon, is backed by the maze-like residential houses of Plaka in Athens, and the cliff facing the sea stands steeply, towering in the blue sea and blue sky. In addition to the Parthenon, the Acropolis of Athens also has buildings such as the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Victory, the Erechtheion, and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. The chief architect was Phidias, who was famous at the time. Six hundred years later, the ancient Roman historian Plutarch commented on the Acropolis: &quot;The building stands tall, magnificent, and beautiful, unparalleled.&quot; The 19th-century French writer Flaubert called the Acropolis &quot;the most brilliant source of history and art.&quot; The Acropolis in the sun is like a monarch wearing a golden robe, overlooking the world on the cliff, majestic and solemn, forming a sharp contrast with the large number of residential buildings behind it, which are staggered, winding, and lined with wine shops and restaurants. However, the Caryatids in the Acropolis are not authentic. The authentic ones are in the nearby Acropolis Museum and... the British Museum

Like most Greek temples, this temple was also used as a treasury.
1. It was built in 447 BC to replace the old Parthenon (destroyed by the Persians in 480 BC).
2. For a while, it was the treasury of the Delian League (which later evolved into the Athenian Empire).
3. In the 6th century AD, the Parthenon was converted into a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary (the original Athena was also a virgin).
4. In the early 1460s, after being conquered by the Ottoman Turks, it was used as a mosque.
5. It was used as a gunpowder magazine by the Turkish army in 1687 and was unfortunately severely damaged in an explosion.
6. By 1800, only half of the Parthenon statues survived. After obtaining approval from the Ottoman government, British Ambassador Sir Elgin began to transport half of the surviving statues back to Britain at his own expense starting in 1801, and they began to be exhibited in the British Museum in 1817.

Детям в этом музее делать нечего. Никакого интерактива и прочего, это музей в понимании 50 х годов xx века, безнадёжно устарел :) Это не отменяет отличной, пусть и несколько однотипной коллекции. Если интересует культура и история древнего мира, обязательно сходите. С билетами от трипа такая маза - на взрослых они покупаются, а детей не добавить. Могут попросить выписать бесплатные билеты на детей. Но нам сказали об этом и тут же пустили так :) В субботу не работает магазин, но вас вкусно накормят в кафе (пироги, снеки, салаты). Кафе во внутреннем дворе, очень приятное место.

The scene must be watched with the background story, otherwise you will just be looking at a pile of stone pillars. The temple is built with limestone, and the roof is made of marble. It is supported by 34 Corinthian columns about 17 meters high, 13 long and 6 wide. There are exquisite marble carvings on the gables and the porch of the inner hall, and there are many Athenian-style statues on the eaves.
