Qinghai Lake is China&#39;s largest inland saltwater lake. Anciently known as the West Sea (according to legend, it was the home of the Little White Dragon of the West Sea), it is also known as the Fairy Sea and the Fresh Water Sea. After the Northern Wei Dynasty, it was renamed Qinghai. In Tibetan, it is called &quot;Cowinbo,&quot; meaning &quot;cyan lake,&quot; and in Mongolian, &quot;Kukunor,&quot; meaning &quot;blue sea.&quot; The name Qinghai Lake originated in the Qing Dynasty and became commonly known as Qinghai Lake after 1949. The lake covers an area of ​​4,283.3 square kilometers, with an average depth of 16 meters and a maximum depth of 28 meters. Its surface elevation is 3,194 meters above sea level, and its volume is 71.9 billion cubic meters.

The only zoo on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, it&#39;s a great value for money and offers a wide variety of plateau animals. I arrived in the morning and the snow leopards were already active, more alert than dozing. The desert cats and manuls were asleep, which was a shame. Visiting during National Day wasn&#39;t crowded, and the weather was sunny and pleasant, making it a great value. The panda enclosure was also asleep.

Weihai is truly a perfect place for relaxation! 🌊For three days, we wandered the coastline, stopping here and there to enjoy the sea breeze and seafood. It was a complete respite!

About/Experience: Weihai&#39;s landmark park, with its vast coastline, is perfect for strolling and taking photos. It&#39;s quiet and less crowded in the morning.

Morning: Cycling along the Coastal Road

Introduction/Experience: Rent a bike and cycle along the coastal road. The ocean views are breathtaking! It&#39;s a relaxing experience! Transportation: There are car rentals available in the city.

Lunch: Mama&#39;s Hand Korean Restaurant

Introduction/Experience: A popular Korean restaurant in Weihai. We recommend the spicy chicken feet and bibimbap. Remember to get there early to queue.
Transportation: Take a taxi to Mama&#39;s Hand.
Hours: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Afternoon: Xingfumen Square

Introduction/Experience: Another landmark in Weihai, perfect for photos and check-in. The sunset in the evening is stunning.
Transportation: Take the bus or taxi to Xingfumen Square.

Evening: Return trip.

End: Weihai is truly a relaxing city. The seafood, ocean views, and Korean food are all fantastic!

Tips:
The beach can be windy, so bring a jacket. The Hanlefang Night Market is very crowded, so avoid peak hours.
