The company Joh. Backhausen & Söhne, founded in 1849, is one of the most traditional furniture and decorative fabric producers in Viennese history. From 1903 onwards, the company devoted itself intensively to collaborating with contemporary artists, including outstanding protagonists of Viennese modernism such as Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner, Joseph Maria Olbrich, Jutta Sika, Dagobert Peche, My Ullmann and Otto Prutscher. Backhausen specialised in the implementation of their designs and established itself as the main supplier of the Wiener Werkstätte initiated by Hoffmann, Moser and Fritz Waerndorfer. The fruitful symbiosis culminated in the furnishings of the Sanatorium Purkersdorf in 1904/05, the Villa Skywa-Primavesi in 1913–1915 and the Palais Stoclet in Brussels in 1905–1911.

The best museum in Vienna!!! Definitely get a map because you will get lost! It&#39;s so big and has many rooms of different art and artifacts!! Has some nice tables to eat and drink because you might need more energy!Statues, coins, jewellery, stones, mummies, paintings, everything I tell you! You also need at least 3 hours to fully see it!! Best 21 euros spent!! Worth every cent!

Love the palace in the museum, I think it&rsquo;s very worthy visiting!!! a little bit expensive, but is still very worthy. Make sure you go earlier, cause there is just too many things to see.

It&#39;s quite good. There&#39;s a note at the door saying no taking photos, but you can still take photos if no one is watching. There&#39;s a free toilet at the door, don&#39;t go to the toilet next door that charges 1 euro. You don&#39;t need to buy a ticket, you can use the toilet. Learn about Sissi&#39;s history, there&#39;s a Chinese interpreter, scan the ticket, go upstairs and get it in the lobby. No English is a problem
