Qichun Garden is one of the three gardens of Beijing&#39;s Old Summer Palace. It was autumn when I visited the Old Summer Palace. It was very beautiful to take pictures here. Pigeons would fly over the lake from time to time. There were white swans and black swans on the lake, which was very romantic.

The tour guide was very nice and patient. The explanation was very detailed and informative. There was no extra charge. The weather was very hot, but the Summer Palace was still cool with a lot of shade, especially near Kunming Lake, which is suitable for going when the weather is hot.

The earliest buildings of Yuanmingyuan were designed by Emperor Kangxi, who later gave it to Emperor Yongzheng. Kangxi personally inscribed &quot;Yuanmingyuan&quot;, which means &quot;round and divine, bright and illuminating&quot;. After Yongzheng ascended the throne, he started a large-scale construction to expand Yuanmingyuan and moved the Zhengda Guangming Hall here. Yuanmingyuan became Yongzheng&#39;s &quot;summer palace&quot;. Emperor Qianlong copied the scenic spots in Jiangnan and transplanted them to Yuanmingyuan, forming the 40 scenes of Yuanmingyuan.
